I know Facebook Connect was removed due to bugs, and that there have been plans to bring it back eventually. But it's been gone how long now? Why not just get rid of the widget as well for now?

People keep trying to add the widget, find that it doesn't work, and then can't remove it because the widget itself is bugged.

I can't see the point in keeping it around. Especially if there are still plans to remove the sidebar and widgets.
