Hello people of subeta! I have recently decided to grow my hair down to my lower rib cage region. It is now just above my chest. Tell me reasons you love your hair, want to grow it want to cut it. This forum is for all things hair, hairstyles dyes ect.
.
I've already grown out my hair so not really in the club any longer though I may end up trying for classic. My hair is currently butt length at the moment.
My hair is straight and pretty long (my whole back). It may looks boring as I don't have a special haircut, but I try to cut my hair regular so I can keep it healthy. I usually wear a ponytail, but if I wear my hair loose people look at me. People always ask me if it's much work, but no, I don't really do much with my hair (styling), so it's not much work and I'm used to it so maybe that's why xD
My hair is wavy and down to my butt. It's actually more curly than wavy, but it's so long and heavy right now that the curls stretch out into waves. I have it bleached ombre right now - had it ombre pink, then blue, then red, but let it wash out to brown/blonde so it's more "natural" for work. It's a pain in the ass to wash because it takes an entire day to dry. I usually just keep it in a side braid or twist because otherwise it tries to take over the entire world.
I'm a hair stylist and all I can say is, if you want to grow your hair - DO IT. Don't give in and cut it... you'll regret it. I've done it so many times, and every single time I've cut it, I become disappointed in myself. Just make sure if you plan on growing it out really long, try to refrain from coloring it by going lighter. Any time you lighten it, you have to use powder lightener/bleach, and that does ultimate damage to your precious locks. Cheers!
Hooray for growing out the hairs!
I normally chop mine down to a fauxhawk or pixie cut and dye it fireengine red.
This year I'm growing it out--it's now down to my shoulders, just a little bit past. I'm enjoying it. Trying to dye this much hair is unusual for me though, haha. Haven't had hair this long since prom (i.e., 4 years ago).
I almost never bleach it though. I hate bleach, and it's the one thing I won't do myself. I'm good with keeping my ends from getting totally fried from over-dyeing, but I'm too scared to bleach it on my own. Plus it's too expensive at the salon.
Until the end of November, my hair reached past my butt but I was tired of it for the longest time and cut it to a bit past my shoulders. I love long hair but it can be such a pain to manage. Especially since my hair is thick and gets oily easily, not to mention the tangles. I've never dyed or permed it, or tried any interesting hairstyles so I guess it's pretty boring haha. People seem to love my hair though. "I wish I had your hair." or "It's so healthy and shiny." I usually leave my hair as is, unless I'm cleaning, then I put it up. And since I had it cut I straighten it cause the layers and bangs that frame my face look better with a straight style. Otherwise it's a bit frizzy with random bits of waviness.
My hair is probably the longest it's ever been in a long time (just about at low back), and while I like it long, it's a lot to manage, and my hair is basically just a mostly straight-semi-wavy-when-it-feels-like-it mess. This is probably the longest I've gone with my hair this long too (I usually chop it really short every few years). I'm kind of getting that itch to cut it off again, but we'll see. I do need a trim though...
I had it dyed a dark purple-red for a bit and I really liked it, so I might have to do it again here one of these days, either that or black, which I also really liked.
