Merrill, my female angelic demi (with a pretty big TC if I say so myself), is currently up for tentative adoption. I'm really hesitant to do it, but I haven't been able to come up with a concept I could really dedicate myself to, so I figure I'll open up the chance for other people to try for her.
That said, Merrill is a unisex RN. I'm just going on a limb here, but I think the masculine usage is usually because of the surname basis, whereas the feminine usage is probably an alternative spelling of Meryl. I enjoy name etymology, but, alas I'm not an linguistics master or... well, anything, really. Either way, it's probably distantly related to the name Mary, which has an uncertain origin but is probably related to either "bitter" or "sea."
Anyways, I'm just throwing this down now: I don't care if you change her gender. I don't care if you change her color/species. And, just since there will probably be interest in making her a fanpet - I don't care if you make her a fanpet, or if you make her a OC. You can post your applications here, you can send me a smail, or you can just tell me you're interested (though please say if you intent to write an application or not).
I will just go out to repeat that this is tentative, and if I don't get anyone I feel strongly enough about, I will keep her. However, this topic will be a good foothold to contact people again if I ever feel the same way in the future (assuming I keep her), so it would probably be a good idea to at least express interest if you're feeling not confident about the whole tentative tidbit.
