I read in another place, off site, that for HA sharing you can create a HA with items you do not own and still be able to share it. Is this true? For example for the male HA contest I just used my current HA since I thought you could only use items you own. If I could have gone with using items I did not own I would have put more into my entry.
(not that i'm disappointed in my HA however i do have other ideas that include items i do not own)
I don't know if it is still possible, but if it is, it is a glitch. Since it is an official contest, even though they don't specifically say that this is not allowed, I don't think the staff would look too kindly on a user taking advantage of the glitch in question.
I am curious as well if it is possible. -hopes someone else can tell us-
Outfit Not Found
How do you know it's a glitch and not an intended feature, though? Or is that just a guess?
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's not a glitch. I feel like I read somewhere that it was intentional but of course now I can't find it. Though you've been able to save outfits with items you don't own for ages, the only glitch related to that was being able to post with one if you chose the HA you posted with (is that even still available though? I never used it but I don't see it)
It is my understanding that if you don't own an item then you shouldn't be able to use that item, not for an official contest at least. (Since staff usually implement measures to prevent it.)
I could be wrong though, but I am going to go on believing it's a glitch until I am corrected by a staff member or by someone who can direct me to a place where staff officially say it's okay. -nods-
If you could find the place where they stated it was intentional, I'd appreciate it.
Yes, you can wear any item on site for the share function. I did not know that either when I entered the contest. Here's a quote of Keith's reply in the news comment (it's at the top of the comments, the 7th at the moment to be exact, if you want to find the comment yourself):

Thank you! I wasn't aware of that comment. Guess I am gonna have to go back to checking News comments again. -sighs heavily- They need to stop doing that.
(I wasn't even aware it was possible let alone allowed. I would totally have worn a different pair of shoes if I had known both those facts! LOL)
