I'm pretty sure the giveaway is over, but the Free Shop is still open. It's just stopped restocking, which isn't immediately obvious and I've wasted some time refreshing, hoping it would restock again.

I think this has happened in previous years as well.

Instead of just abandoning it without a notification when the giveaway ends, can the shop be closed down to avoid confusion?

At a bare minimum a news post that says THE SHOP IS NOW CLOSED would be nice.

Please do something like a news post. I completely forgot the free shop finished today and spent 15 minutes just refreshing until I realized that the giveaway was over.

I think the shop should just be closed and it removed from the Main Shops page. It isn't open year round and new users could get confused, wondering why this shop never restocks.

Then we can have a little "Oh no! This shop is closed!" notice anytime we try go to there like with what happens with FTC.

Yeah, I think just changing the shop text to say that it's currently closed, and maybe to keep an eye out for future events should be an easy thing to do.

Totally agree. I would also like to see some sort of notice that the giveaway is over. I don't really see the point in keeping a shop open if it never restocks. It should just be closed up until the next time it's needed :)

At the very least a news post should have been put up. We did get a warning saying when the last day was but no a time at all. There were times where it would be 8+ minutes between the stocks and I thought it was over numerous times throughout the day to only be wrong.

I agree with this.A notice when you click the shop,like say having King Keith saying"Sorry,the shop is closed for now!"would be nice.And preferably not having that 404 Experiment saying it this time.We see way too much of him on the site.

That'd be nice. I always thought the shop used to restock in small amounts (because it says on the top of the page "Restocked XX minutes ago", but I never saw anything there besides the giveaway days).

I agree, a notice at the shop itself would be nice, like the one Melody has at her cottage for the rest of the year.

Even if there was a new post, I bet when new players starts on other months than Dec/Jan, they'll be refreshing that shop hoping for an item. Or returning players. And they're likely not going to check the new post.

So, I agree about having an alert on the free shop, or close/remove the shop from the main shop.

I remember being really, really confused about the Free Shop when I was new and just thinking I was missing all the restocks. Closing the shop or putting up a notice in it about it not being in use would be so helpful. Same with a more accurate notice when the giveaways are over! 'Sometime today' is unhelpfully vague.

I don't understand why they don't "Close" it like they do the pirate shop. Make it so you CANT go there unless an event is happening.

I know the Free Shop is pretty confusing especially to new users when it's not giveaway time, so a warning on the shop itself would be great :)
