A few days ago I was so excited to the see the news post for the Free Shop Giveaway, as it's one of my favorite things this site does around the end of the year. However, I noticed that since there is a time limit on how often we can purchase something from the shop, but there isn't any sort of option that allows you to make an alert for the shop. It would be really great if the site could add some sort of option that allows you to make alerts for when you can purchase from the free shop, instead of it being wait approximately six minutes and then hope your timer is up. Having an alert would really make it easier to remember and would be useful because I wouldn't miss as many opportunities. Also a lot of things that have timers on them having the option of setting some sort of alert, so having one for the free shop makes a lot of sense.

Generally I'm all over adding alerts to everything with a timer, but I don't think it's really needed in this case. We're getting a shitload of great, free items. It's really not the end of the world if you're a few minutes late getting your next one or if you forget about it for an hour. There's plenty to go around.

Not to mention, the shop restocks like any other (i.e. irregularly). Just because your alert goes off doesn't mean there's going to be anything available, so I fail to see how it's all that helpful in the long run.

It would be nice, but at the same time It's every 5 minutes, I'm sure you could set a timer, or just look down at the time on your computer every now and again.

Personally, I just grab a random item from the Donation corner (which is every 5 minutes like the Free Shop.) That way I get an alert for that, and I just do them at the same time. Fixes my problem, haha.

I don't support this. The Free Shop is a game, and part of this particular game is remembering to get there.

Me, I use Scratchcard alerts which are five minutes apart, and 12 minute Mallarchy Pond alerts for the times the shop makes an irregular restock.

Not needed. If you want a timer so badly download an extension or add on for one and set it for five minutes. I don't want an alert every 5 minutes, it would drive me insane.

Ehh, I don't think so. Having an alert during an interactive event, sure. But this? We're being given free items, some of which are valued at multiple millions. Sure it's random chance, but it's also every five minutes. I think it's unnecessary to get an alert for something we're basically being given.
