I hope we have Subeta App where we can download it in Playstore/App store. It will be so cool to get our notifications and we can check Subeta anytime. I'm not always on my laptop, but i'm always with my phone.

I'd much prefer that the limited number of staff members focus on getting the actual full website working properly before they try to expand to an app myself.

I was thinking about this the other day... sounds like a good idea, but I think it might be more practical to work on enhancing the mobile version of the website first. It works fairly well, but right now it's missing a few essential links.

I think this is waaayyyy our of Subeta's league at the moment.

The mobile version needs to be fixed for sure. But what will the app be able to do/streamline that the mobile version cant? i mean its a browser "game" so to speak.

The mobile version is atrocious imo. I've never understood the brown color scheme or how unfinished and broken it is.

I could have sworn there was a topic that brought up a majority of the issues. For the time being I switch to Desktop mode and just deal with zooming in all the time. :c

It'd love to see an app too, but I feel like that would have to be long into the future. The staff is busy enough as is, and to develop an app would be more work. I don't want to rush them into making a sloppy, half-functional app. If there's to be an app, I want it to be AMAZING. So I guess for now, all I can do is dream ^_^

Mobile Site This is perhaps the topic about the mobile site you mentioned?

It would a giant help already if the actual mobile site would be fixed. I don't need an app, I need the darn thing that already exists to work and let me use basic site features.

But i'm not holding my breath over it. It's been broken for years, every topic or post about it has been ignored for equally many years. It's a window of opportunity and it's just ignored. Probably not purposely but other priorities or not enough resources in time/money/staff. But the mobile site is so broken it makes me want to throw with things.

Well I tried to poke the OP several times and they just didn't get back to me. Clearly they didn't want to contribute to getting it fixed. And remaking the topic wasn't an option because then it would have been closed.

I did add the subject of the broken mobile site to the giant list of Usability/random improvements. And since the staff every now and then cross things of that list I hope they get to that point.

Ah well, fingers crossed :)

It would be awesome to have an App for Subeta, but I'm with the majority in just hoping the mobile site is updated and works properly, and the main site gets "finished".
