Hi all!

I have my eye on a few usernames, but they will be cleared in a few months. Do you guys have any advice on how to snag them quickly? What is your experience with trying to get cleared usernames?

I guess I'm just worried that someone else is going to take that username if I don't change it exactly at 3:00.

Check 24 hours before it's supposed to clear. Accounts sometimes clear early, I'm not sure if it's every time since I don't stalk a lot of pet names but your chances are better that way, just in case.

They sometimes clear early? Whoa... guess I'm going to have to be stalking those usernames! I guess I'm just worried because it sounds really nice and could be popular, but that's just me.

Well, I was told programmers were looking into it about a month ago, but I haven't heard since then. It's been a problem for awhile though, the last pet name I snagged was back in September and I got it a day early. Since it hasn't been claimed to have been fixed yet, better to be safe than sorry c:

Oh gosh, that would make things way harder... Luckily, the day before I also have time to check. I wonder if any progress has been made concerning the problem of accounts clearing early.

Awhile back I was looking to snag the pet name Demon, had everything ready to go and waited for the time and went to go and turned out it had cleared at MIDNIGHT not 3pm.

So a few accounts do seem to hit this glitch of wrong clear times, but it doesn't seem to happen often. The other downside is there ARE people who literally login only the one time a year for less than 5 minutes to keep names "just in case they come back". Just check the accounts often-ish to make sure it's still open for grabs.

I believe one of the accounts I'm looking at are frozen so that should be better. I don't think the accounts I'm looking at have people who are going to come back, but that is something to consider...

I guess there are glitches with when the cleared accounts actually clear, like what mentioned. I think I'm going to constantly check on the account a few days before it clears just to make sure.
