I am unable to get rid of the Luminaire CSS, even after deleting it. I've tried entering other profile codes from Subetalodge and nothing works. I believe I've checked every place where coding can be entered and cannot seem to find where the Lumi coding is to remove it.

Would anyone be able to look at it and find where it's hiding? I've deleted everything from the profile box and tried to pick just a colored (Dawn) profile, but nothing is working. :(

Your code seems to be in column3 which isn't displayed. More specifically in the header of the comments section. o.o

The simplest way to get rid of the layout would probably be to reset your profile.

The only other way I can think of is a lot more complex, especially for someone who's not familiar with coding and the browser inspect element feature.

Oh thanks so much for your answer! Thought I checked that section to see if the code was in there, but now I'm going to check again and see if I can just remove it before I just reset it.

I'm familiar w/ the inspect element feature, but not to a great extent. What did you look for, and what part in that feature did you use to find the code? (I'm not a complete noob on the html/css aspect and always willing to learn)

Thanks again!

Well actually it was more looking at the source code to find the css (basically just looked for the style tag). But if you go to the edit page (link) you can use the inspect element tool to disable the bits of code that are hiding the column (and comment header too I think), allowing you to access and remove the css.

Working on that now - or at least trying. :) I viewed the page source myself looking for the style tag and didn't see the code for it in there after I removed it from the profile section. Should've save it before I started messing around w/ the inspect element feature so you could've shown me where it was.

Once again, thanks for your help! I was getting rather frustrated.

You can see where the css is hiding here

You can clear that, which will make the column and all show again. That way you can reach the edit button on the comment section to remove the code for real. ^^

It really is easier to keep css in the profile section because even if the section is hidden on the profile itself you can still access it on the page from your user dashboard.

Got it! Thanks for showing me that. Really wanted to know where to look and overall, I think that inspect element tool is more useful than I realized. :D

I was having problems with a previous profile and couldn't move my profile box at the time so I ended up putting it in the first box available. Will never do that again.

Great. :)

Yeah the inspect element tool can be really helpful. Especially for trouble-shooting I find, because you can disable (and re-enable) one bit at a time without having to constantly save and refresh. ^^
