I'm trying to collect enough achievements to get into the Blue Building, and one of the ones I'm curious about is the 'View the Pawn Shop When it's Empty' one. Does the Pawn Shop ever run out? Every time I view it there are about 28 pages of items, and every item seems to be a huge stack, so seems silly to try and buy them all out and I thought maybe the shop only empties as an event or something? Curiouser and curiouser...

No, the staff does not empty the pawn shop. :c

The last time a large group of people worked together to clear out the pawn shop by buying up everything

Ahhhh, that is a shame :( Any names of people that were in that group? I figure, useful to ask them for advice on how many people they had and how they coordinated :)

There are many multiples of some of those items. For example, there's probably at least a hundred healing potions. It's going to take a massive amount of work to buy them all.

I don't know if the people are aware that pawning 10 items everyday is going to make the achievement a lot harder for those who didn't get it several years ago when the shop's way more sparse.

Yeah, I see the problems :( Hmmm, do you reckon it might be worth suggesting solutions in the Suggestions forum?

For example, if they created a Pawn Shop in each of Subeta's main cities, then it would be much easier to coordinate this achievement despite the numbers of donors to any of the prospective Pawn shops (more shops = less saturation in the one). Or, a yearly wipe of the shop (although that seems a bit too easy for an achievement).

A yearly wipe is more likely than more pawn shops.

The last I read, the Pawn Shop is no longer limited to 10 pawns per day. Did this get reinstated ?

Suggesting "solutions" implies that there's a systemic problem. The problem doesn't exist, this Achievement was meant to be difficult to get.

Ah my knowledge must be outdated I did sell 11 items while testing. Why did they change it O_O?

Ahh, my bad, I didn't mean 'solutions' as in this is a problem, more just considering the long-term effect of increasing Subetan population of users against the way the Pawn shop operates; I wondered whether this was on purpose or not as the inevitable snowballing will multiply the difficulty of this achievement hugely in years to come.

But by the sounds of it, it is indeed on purpose as you suggest, maybe future achievement-hunters may have to rally literally thousands of users to clear the shop? Or maybe it is already like that? Yowch. ^^;
