So, I am apart of a different pet site as well, and I know there that it's everything is double what level is. So 5 level stats then 10 in the rest.
How does it work here? I adopted 2 pets...and they had some awesome stats - but in only 2 or 3 categories. Also, what's a quicker way then to just use the Riverside gym?
Also how do I up my pets intelligence? Is that with books?
Thanks!!!
Hi! Welcome to the battle side of Subeta :). You can train your pets 2.5x your level, as an example 5 in level can train 12~ in the four core stats. Never train level if you can train anything else! That's very important at the beginning, it'll up your training time and cost.
At the start. Jim is your best friend in stats. Boosters should wait. You can buy CSC to auto train, that'll make your pet train while you're asleep or at work, etc. you can also do Battle Quests, located in the Sacred Lands, but depending on your pets stats you will only be able to beat a few challengers. Still, extra EXP is always a plus. You can use exp in the battle coliseum. Prices for stats depend on tier.
stat boosters are immediate, but they are very pricey compared to what you can get by autotraining. Jim really is best.
Intelligence does indeed come from books, but also cam be bought from Magic Spindles, earned randomly from a pet's job at the Job Center, and there are boosters too. On he sixteenth INT you get an Alchemy Point which you use for casting spells in combat. (alchemy is a word that gets overused in subeta, so there are other contexts for this word here)
The benefits of stats are not stepwise, but follow an asymptotic curve.
There's also a whole battle forum and community. One good thread is THIS one that comes from that forum, also there's questions asked there and such that can help you figure things out. Do note if you ever get a pet transferred or give one to someone that pet can NOT battle for 30 days after. People in the past were passing pets to each other during events to gain achievements and prizes so the wait go put in place to help stop that.
As a general thing though stats here do cap out. You can train how you wish, many people prefer evenish stats due to the cap that stops you from gaining more numbers. However that doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to doing the same. Train your pets how you wish, you want higher defense go for it. Higher speed, attack or health or two stats more focused and two lesser, however you wish :) Just be sure to make that plan and stick to it though. Just know once you reach that overall cap you can't train anything further.
Also some people do find it to be a bit much after a point to train up more than one pet. You will be spending time on stats if you want to battle at all. A good thing to do with earned EXP I found is to use it strictly for level. Train until it won't let you pick anything but level (unless you have a different overall stats plan, then wait for those options to not be there) and go spend some EXP, refresh the training page to see if you can train stats again, repeat until you can train up stats besides level.
Boosters are VERY good to hoard until about like T8 it seems. When you use auto training at the start you get 20+ sessions (GAs get lesser training time and get more sessions with auto train as a result) for lower tiers. For example my top pet is a t6 and with AT I'd get 9 sessions, but for one of my t3 pets they'd get 19. Mostly when you start seeing 5 or less sessions a day AT becomes moot and boosters or just sticking the pet to train is best.
There's a big world of battling out there, just find your style and go for it! Also be willing to sell any first born children and your soul for some weapons for higher tiers.
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
Hoarding boosters until t8 implies you're not doing any other economic activity on the site. It is possible to make sP with sP here, so if you are into shopkeeping, it's better to sell them when your pets are small and use that sP to make more sP than inflation and then buy them back when you need them.
