There has been an increase in trolls coming into SB, and on the forums posting random crap, calling people "fags", taking about floppy parts of peoples body's, its disgusting, and is making many people upset, for doing it non-stop.

Is there any way that there can be a set time before they are able to post so that this won't happen as much? ;-;

I've just seen this and it makes me wonder if it wouldn't be better to just leave newbies silent for a day everywhere. Not sure how often it happens, but I always found it curious that the same reasoning used for the forums isn't used for the SB (wouldn't spammers spam anything/everything they have access to?), especially given the SB does not have permanent mods -- so it could remain spammed for hours until something is done ._.

If the SB is being monitored like it should be, how are these spammers working non stop?

The SB is supposed to be a place that Newbies can ask questions (according to staff) and to cut them off from communication for the first day would likely drive them away imo.

Removing access to the shoutbox to newbies is defeating the point of the shoutbox, according to Keith. The shoutbox is there so that they can get help without forum access.

- Maybe it would be better if there was an option to report users making inflammatory posts? This could then flag those posts for investigation by staff.
