Last night, I made the hardest choice I've ever had to make on Subeta, and put my Minion collection up for sale. Over my entire eight years on Subeta I've been throwing every single Minion I ever got into a Gallery. I let well over a thousand pile up.

During these eight years I've been perpetually... poor. It has resulted in a massive Wishlist, mostly of wearable items. I'm hoping that the sale of my collection will finally get me over that 'hump' of poor and that I can invest the profits in my other major collection, my Wardrobe. I actually use my Wardrobe. I'm anxious, but also very relieved in a way. All my shiny little Minions sat for so long without use. I'm really kind of proud that I've managed to do this, so this is a brag. I'm also a bit upset by the hundreds of notifications of purchases, however. Watching it eek away slowly is way more painful that I thought.

So, have you ever done something as drastic as selling off a major collection? Did it work out the way you wanted it to?

Ohh god I can relate to this so much! I had a massive massive gallery, over 33k unique items. I was always so poor. So I decided to sell it all off. It took me about a year and a half to sort through everything to look for stuff I wanted to sell and what I actually wanted to keep. Went through it once then pruned it down again. At one point I was like you though, it was all just sitting there and I didn't do anything with it.

I didn't look at my shop history for so long because I didn't want to know what was selling. Let me tell you though, once your expensive minions start selling, the sp is nice :D

Did you keep any of your minions? I know I couldn't have gotten rid of everything, I just like stuff to much!

- A couple of days ago I decided to empty Purples TC as I had over 1000 dragons hoard items. I have been working on it for such a long time and realized I was just NOT enjoying it anymore. All of my other pets have just sat in stasis in this time due to my lack of sp. My motivation to play the site has waned (not just because of this) and I just thought 'fuck it'.

I was worried I would really regret doing it but I feel such a great weight lifted! In 3 to 4 days I have almost hit the top tier achievement for keeping sp in the shop till, and can't wait to start working on my pets again!

That's a LOT of items. I guess if I put everything I've ever hoarded together that's close to the number of items. I can't bring myself to look either! I keep telling myself I'll collect my first profits on Christmas. I actually didn't keep any of them! I have a couple minions on my pets and a couple shoved in my vault that I liked, but when I looked through them none seemed... irreplaceable. Thinking about how much I spent on some of them (mostly Matters. I had a thing for Matters), it seems crazy to think that way.

That's great! I hope it gets you where you want to be. I can't imagine having a pet with over a thousand items in their TC. I think the most one of my pets can hold is like... fifteen? Something small.

I can totally relate! Last year I sold more than half of my holiday gallery. It was really just a collection of everything I'd won/received from Sbeta holidays over the years, but I didn't realize how attached I was until it was nearly half gone. I don't really regret selling it now, though. I still have some of the nicer items, and I did make a nice profit.

I would totally stay poor than sell the things I've been saving for galleries and pet TC's. P: But you gotta do what'cha gotta do. You'll be able to rebuild, never fear~

I gave up on ever completing the top tier of gallery hoarding and just dumped all of it into my shop to sell. Took me something over a week to shuttle it all out and then spend the 100 credits for the super autoprice.

Did I regret it? A little...it was amusing to see that big ol' pile of stuff i'd gathered up. Am I sad? Nope...now i'm creeping up on having a billion points in the bank thanks to selling all that stuff off.

Back when the Wizard still gave out items, I used to get a lot of Elixirs from him, so I started a gallery of Elixirs and Potions, and any other items related to changing pets visually. It was getting pretty big, and I really thought I'd complete it one day. I also had a bird gallery.

A few months ago I got rid of them both. I just wanted to get the galleries removed from my list of shops. The elixirs and potions got sold off, and most of the bird gallery has gone into a pet's TC.

Kinda regret not sticking with the elixir gallery, but the introduction of the Neelas was a turn off. I didn't want to spend the CSC just to complete a gallery (although I'm happy to do so for TCs xD). It was worth it for all the sP I made though. :)

About 6 months ago I cleared about 3k items out of my wardrobe that I knew I was never going to wear. I had given up on getting the wardrobe achievements and decided I wanted the sP instead. Made about 500mil in a few months so I think it was worth it :)

I have billions sunk into galleries. I can't imagine ever selling the things I've collected, though! However, if it makes you happy, why not? Good luck selling your minions!

Congrats! :3 Why keep at something you don't enjoy anymore, you know? c: The wardrobe's a fun thing to work on if you really use it! I remember when I tried to trim my wardrobe down and sold a bunch of stuff and now I'm regretful, because some of those things have really inflated, and I'm like ugh really? :s I just HAD to trim it down?? So never again. xD

When I used a week ga medal, I decided to sell my hoard. Idk how much it was. 30k-40k items? lol I remember trying to autoprice the first few days... took forever FOR AUTOPRICING haha. Thank goodness for it though. I can't imagine sitting there and hand-pricing all of that. I don't regret it. I only regret not taking some things out and fragging when I could. |D Oh well.

I got rid of a TC that had over 3000+ items, sold what i did not like anymore, and decided to make a gallery instead. I enjoy the gallery a lot better because i don't have to bother with arranging everything

Mine is kind of an ongoing decision, but it's doesn't feel as extreme as most of the others who have posted. I'm a really big hoarder on Subeta- I basically like to keep at least one copy of every item that's ever existed on my account. I also really like to collect the donation presents/collections and I've tried to remember to buy them every month for the past nine years. However, I also have an interest in battling and it occurred to me a while ago that there probably wouldn't be a way for me to ever get another copy of some of the old DP books, so I made the decision to read my only copies of them to Cross. It is slightly easier to do that now that the Hustler has begun carrying them more, but it I still always have to work myself up to using any item I only have one copy of. |D;

The hardest thing I've ever done on this site? Raising enough CSC just to submit CWs to use as gifts. XD;; That's actually harder to do than what most people would think.

Well, it's working out well! I'm amazed. With everything I've been doing lately my vault has more sp than I've ever possessed before. It's nice to clear it all out.

I sold most of my Wardrobe about two years ago, close before I hit 10,000 items, and I think it was totally worth it. Money is bigger than fashion, at least for me. XD

I had a friend do this last year. She'd been collecting minions since she joined the site. She needed one for a complete collection - at the time. It was so rare that there were none in shops. She finally got one from someone who was disposing of a gallery. She paid a fortune for it as she was obsessed at that point.

She managed to keep up with the new releases and then, during a giveaway in the free shop, she got the same minion that she'd almost emptied her bank account for. She said she actually screamed with fury. It seems it was so rare that it was decided that more needed to be in circulation. Within days, it was worthless. She lost interest in the site after that and priced her gallery.

She now hardly ever plays which is a shame as she made a lot of money from her gallery. Nowhere near what she spent on it but that's deflation for you :(

If you're wanting the sP, I say yes.

I'm in the same sorta predicament. I've debated selling my entire holiday collection that I've had going on 6 years now from almost every holiday Subeta has had in that time frame. I know it'll bring in good money but I love hoarding things and don't know if I could bring myself to selling it.
