Everyone should get somethin' under their Luminaire tree...

In my travels, I have seen some trees that look especially bare with no presents under them, and it made me sad, so it made me try to think of a way to get presents under those trees... I don't know if this will work, but here's what I came up with so far... :)

There could be a site-wide sign up about a week before Luminaire until Luminaire Eve, the notice like what is done for the snowball fight... If you have 4 or less presents under your tree, you sign-up... If you wish to give gifts, you sign-up at another link... The user who wishes to gift is randomly given the name of a user who needs gifts under their tree, kind of like the Mysterious Melody set-up... If the user has 1 or 0 gifts under their tree, their username is given to 2 users who wish to gift; users who have 2-4 gifts under their tree get paired up with 1 gifter...

Like I said, I'm not sure if this is a workable idea or not, but just thought I'd share while I was brainstormin'... :)

I think this is a really cute idea that would tie into the season really well. I wouldn't mind if it replaced MM altogether.

Well, Melody does put some things under the tree, so those people will at least get those items. The only problem with this suggestion, is what about inactive accounts? There would be an awful lot of names being thrown into the pile that don't need gifts in the first place.

Also, people can just post on those place a gift under the tree threads. I do that sometimes, and it's fun to put stuff under random people's trees.

Everybody already gets gifts from Melody.

This has been implemented for at least five years, so I don't see a reason to give more, ESPECIALLY since it was heavily implied one of these items for this year will be a Silver Potion.

I'm not sure if this is what you're concerned with at all, but everyone does get gifts from melody when the gifts under the trees are opened, they just don't seem to show up as piled up presents under the tree.

It's actually really easy for users to get gifts under their trees! If you're suuuuuuper introverted like me and have like 2 friends on Subeta (or even if you don't know a soul on here), all you have to do is post on one of those "Give a gift under the user above!" threads. You'll not only be getting a gift from whoever posts below you, but you're also spreading the holiday cheer by gifting another user! Some of those threads have a 100k or 1mil gift minimum, but there are also plenty out there without limits, so even the poorest Subetans can get in on the fun :)

And, as others have said, Melody already gives every user on the site a nice little pile of gifts at the end of Luminaire :)

otherwise, this suggestions sounds more like something a user would organize themselves, but it's a nice thought :)

I make sure all citizens of Subeta are taken care of when they open their presents on the 25th!
