Okay so i go into the bedroom to rouse my partner and about hour later hE ASKED IF I STEPPED ON HIS IPAD. THE SCREEN IS RUINED.
normally I'd just be all, 'LAWL, sorry' and replace it but HIS PRESENTS ALL ROTATE AROUND IT.
D:
I don't know what it is. He says it's 2+ years old, so after a quick Google, I'm guessing it's just the regular original release ipad. Are the 2 and 3 really worth getting, if he likes that one? Should I just replace the screen and be done? Do they all use the same case size? /really flipping out here
Hold on, he left hi iPad on the floor?
I'm .. wow
You could go local and see if you can change the screen? I don't think the product is covered after 2 years..
yeah, I asked the same thing. He said he must've fallen asleep with it, which /almost/ negates my guilt.... NEVERMIND HALLELUJAH HIS SISTER GAVE A RECOMMENDATION
If it's an iPad that old, the screen could have gone on its own. Also, it was stupid for him to leave it on the floor.
In most cases, screen/battery replacement costs more on Apple devices than it does to buy a new one.

Not sure if you still need help, but I broke my iPad's screen a few months ago and it was as old as your partner's so maybe I could help you out a little. I wouldn't recommend replacing the screen as it apparently makes you lose apple's warranty. Even if you don't have one, if you don't replace it there's a chance you could go to apple and get a replacement (a newer model, I'm guessing), if you pay for it. It's usually not that expensive compared to buying a new iPad altogether, either.
