We added a timer to the snowball shop last night (30 seconds between purchases) and just added a timer to the snowtapult (5 seconds between throws).

We're hoping to reduce both of these timers through the day today. Most likely I'm going to make snowballs into a "turn in" currency so that you can choose them from the page. The technical problem is deleting/adding items to the user table and this change will help a lot.

Did you also reduce the stack of snowballs you can buy to 25 instead of 50?

I don't think the 5 seconds one is waiting the full 5 seconds.

I noticed when refreshing that it said I had 44 years until I could buy another snowball, I didn't want to wait that long. but that timer wasn't actually preventing me from going back and buying a new snowball.

OMG I have not even joined a team and started yet. kinda glad i waited cause the site always seems to be down lots when they first kick off new things.....

I have got to say as well I HATE the smug ass smilies you guys put up in them messages when you are fixing the site, usually going on more than twice.

When trying to throw snowballs about 5 seconds apart at a random user from the other team, I seem to be mostly (but not always) throwing at the same user twice before changing to someone else. Strange. The buy a bunch button and the timers do seem to be helping. Thank you.
