Hello all! I'm Mercy, and startlingly new to Subeta. So, this is a world building project I started in early June, and I thought it'd be a good first rp to do on this site.

Uallowenor is a world that started with my rp group 'The Riot Inn and Tavern.' Since then, it has evolved, changed and grown up. It's a dark, twisted, convoluted world that looks at and deals with intolerance, war, oppression and fear. There are no sparkly pink princesses, there are no happily ever afters. Interested? Then please, join.

Uallowenor, as a world, is diverse in all details from the range of species to the types of government. There are thousands upon thousands of unique societies existing side by side. There is one major problem-- they all hate each other, and have been at war for the past 200 years or so. The wars are brutal, and they have reached all corners of the world. At this point, there is one bit of neutral, peaceful land left: The Riot Inn and Tavern. The Riot is lead by Nell Daly (played by me.) and her youngest daughter, Finley. Settled into a lovely green hill, anyone may come inside, eat, drink and rest. There is one major rule in the tavern, no violence. None. Since Nell has refused to give allegiance to any one society, she is completely alone. The Riot is as much an inn as it is a tiny country. Nell has power, and many societies would love to force the Dalys to pick a side. The problem with that is, after fifteen years of cleanly run business, Nell has no intentions of giving up. There are vicious rivalries between all the species of this lovely land, such as the hatred of the Faeries and the Witches, the Wizards and the Seers, and the humans' campaigns against all non-humans, as poorly thought out as those campaigns are. The people in this world can be incredibly cruel, as is shown by the treatment and oppression of species such as the Emere, amongst other things. Each species has its own territory, although they can be invaded, ruined or stolen. There is a land to the west in which you'll find all sorts of creatures drawn from European based mythos. Faeries, banshees, elves and many other species intermingle and fight. To the east and over the sea, you will find all sorts of spirits, ghosts, and other creatures from Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese and Indian mythology. As you go further south in that continent, you'll find creatures based on African myths. In the seas themselves live another score of races. They... Have their own set of wars. The deep sea mermaids are locked in combat with the shallow water mermaids, and the sirens are just out to get everybody. Basically, we'll be staying away from the undersea stuff until maybe later.

Any and all species are welcome, although I have some species highly developed. Information on Uallowenor's take on faeries, witches, wizards, mermaids, seers, dragons, humans, emere, dryads, and after-stories, please ask.

For this rp, I have some ground rules.

•	No overpowered characters. I get it, some species are incredibly powerful, but have weaknesses too.
•	Be nice out of character.
•	Do not godmod. In that I mean do not write any actions in for other people's characters. Don't do it.
•	Cussing is okay.
•	No sex.
•	Multiple characters is a-okay.
•	Don't kill without permission.
•	No one liners. Three or more descriptive sentences, please.
•	This is intended to be medieval or alternate medieval.

That's easy enough, isn't it! On to character forms, and we can begin when we get five members.

Name: Age: Species: Species details: (if one of the species I listed above, please ask about what has already been created. Thank you.) Gender: Personality: Weaknesses: Strengths: Brief bio: Family: Social status: Looks: (Picture or description is fine.)

Name: Nell Daly Age: 49 Species: Human Species details: Humans are one of the most diverse species. They vary in size, race and appearance. They have no inherent magical abilities, but they are swift learners. They trade easily and often, and they are good with language. They tend to hate anyone who is not human. For most of the wars, they have led brutal campaigns against all non humans. In most of these, they have been severely overpowered. They operate under a monarchy, and their numbers are dwindling. They are generally belligerent, fearful and unwilling to accept and learn. Gender: Female Personality: Nell is the exception to the rule. She's a bright, witty, happy-go-lucky and thoroughly optimistic woman who cares deeply about those around her. She wants to help others, and aspires to raise her children in a way so that they see the world from others' perspectives. Nell has a large, boisterous, in your face energy. She's quite obviously strong and independent. She can be quite stubborn at times, and keeps an open mind. Weaknesses: Neutrality has its downsides. She cannot protect those she cares about after they leave the Riot. Strengths: She's well liked and powerful, politically. Also, the local dragon is a friend of hers. That's a good thing. Brief bio: Soon after Nell was impregnated with her youngest daughter, her husband, Henry Daly, was drafted into the human army for a campaign against the fae. He died in combat when Finley was three months old. Widowed and poor, with three daughters, Nell was soon desperate and alone. So, she started an inn with what meager resources she had. In those first few months, it was failing miserably and her daughters were starving. So, Nell went to pray at the ruins of the dragon temple. It was there she met Hehraith the dragon. Hehraith took pity on the woman, and recognized her determination to provide for her children. With the help of Hehraith, Nell slowly got back into the realm of financial stability, and declared the tavern on neutral ground. Which was pretty much groundbreaking.

The neutrality was tested quickly when a band of hobgoblins walked in and demanded service. She gave it, and they've been faithful customers ever since. Family: Henry Daly (Husband, dead) Amelia Enguite (Oldest daughter, pregnant, married to Paul Enguite) Laurel Theramore (Middle daughter, married to Horace Theramore) Finley Daly (youngest daughter, age 15) Josephine Theramore (oldest grandchild, Laurel and Horace, age 1 1/2) Social status: Innkeeper/royalty. The Riot is technically its own country. Looks: Chubby, short woman with shoulder length red curls and a sea of freckles. Bright green eyes, and medieval peasant garb. Strong hands, thin lips, nearly always smiling. Worry lines on her forehead, and the beginning of crow's feet around her eyes.

Name: Revon Lief Age: 16 (Is actually 128 due to demonic lineage) Species: Cambion Species details: Cambions are the result of the offspring between a human and a fallen angel (Commonly known as demon). They can take on many different personas, from the commonly viewed demonic characteristics of reddish skin, horns, etc., to the more 'fallen angel' like persona of pale skin, black feathery wings, etc. They mostly all of the time have the ability of flight and combat prowess due to their demonic heritage. Though they share many characteristics of demons, they also have many characteristics of humans as well, such as their sociability and quick thinking. Though they have infernal heritage, they are still mortal, still able to die by sword or time. Gender: Male Personality: Revon usually comes off as a sly individual, speaking with both a silver tongue, and a black blade. There is always some kind of mischievous twinkle in his eyes, always planning something. Though he acts like this, he is a very kind and loyal individual, leaning more towards his human side once you get to know him. Weaknesses: Revon is hurt by anything really "holy" as to Cambions and other demonic or undead things holy items give off a radiant light that starts to burn their flesh and/or bone. Strengths: Revon can be very persuasive at times when he wants to, and also has prowess on the battlefield, moving swiftly and (though he hates for it to be referred to as this) gracefully. Brief bio: Revon was born with very small, black horns and black feathery wings. Seeing this "abomination" of the human race, his mother disowned him. Raised by himself on the streets, he has had multiple encounters with his father, a fallen angel-like demon, who guided him along his life. He lived among the rats, growing a tongue forked and silver (metaphorically) enough to bargain a shopkeeper out of his last silver coin. Eventually, in order to find a home, or at least somewhere to eat and have shelter, Revon enlisted into the human army in the war against the Fae, killing at least a hundred elves, fairies, and changelings in total. After the war he returned back to normal life as a well-respected veteran of the Fae war, despite his demonic heritage. With his added social status and his silver tongue, Revon was now able to bargain into getting a small fortune to sustain himself on, and to buy the clothes and armor he wears. Family: Beelze (Father, ruling over one of hell's seven layers), Tecira Lief (Mother, disowned), Thanatos (Technical brother, Katana) Social status: Fae war veteran Looks: Revon stands at about 5' 6", with F.D.G. (For Death or Glory) branded on the back of his neck, used on the human army emblem. In a sheath strapped to his waist is Thanatos, a gift from his father to use in the Fae war, a black katana with a literal mind of it's own.

This premise sounds awesome, can I join? Name: Ramsey Halifax Age: Although he is nearly sixty in human years he matures slower, putting him at about twenty-three. Species: Half Banshee Species details: A banshee is a fairy woman who begins to scream if someone is going to die, and is often seen washing the bloodstained clothes or armor of those who are soon to be departed. As the spawn of one of these creatures Ramsey can sense when people are going to die, and possesses the ability to emit a concussive shriek which can break glass and incapacitate opponents. Gender: Male Personality: Although he generally comes off as goofy and amiable, he occasionally veers towards near sociopathic tendencies, generally directed at non-immortals, who he deems hardly more than cannon fodder in the war between immortals. He does break this pattern occasionally, but only if he deems someone to be advantages to his goals. Weaknesses: He has a bit of a drinking problem, and often gets himself into more trouble than he would like. He also suffers from a deplorable reputation, which stems from his habit of killing people who he knows are soon to pass (which is a mercy in his opinion). Strengths: He’s pretty okay with a sword, a trait which has come in handy an uncountable number of times. Brief bio: Orphaned by the war between faeries and witches he was raised in a war torn country, learning to fight from the time he could walk. Still, he had the advantage of knowing when people were soon to be offed, so he could leave any companions he had when he knew things were about to go south (and sometimes killing them himself which he considered good manners). Of course soon word got around about him and people began to see him as a bad omen, so now he constantly moves from place to place to avoid too much bad attention. Family: Cyra Halifax (mother) and Richard Kennicot (father). Both are deceased. Social status: Wanderer and bad omen. Looks: Olive skin covered in scars, a thin frame and spikey white hair, about 5’9”. He wears a raggedy gray cloak and worn down clothes. He’s missing his right leg, which he has replaced with a wooden peg. His eyes are blacker than night and he has a wide grin that makes him looks like he either want to kiss you or kill you.

I like the idea!

Name: Samael Age: He's long forgotten. As someone who is Elf-kin, Samael is immortal, but appears to be in his early thirties.
Species: Veneer

Species details: These folk live in the deepest of forests, and are held in great reverence by the wood elves to the west. They are Elven down to the torso, and have the body of a great deer. They are believed to be the chosen folk of the Elven earth goddess, Velana. Females tend to keep their spotting, while males have a less impressive coat and a more athletic build. Veneer are quite fast and skilled in the use of both ranged weapons and earth magic. They are more defensive than offensive, and are able to create powerful barriers and heal wounds. They consider themselves far more advanced in both poise and culture than their (in their opinion) more barbaric cousins, the centaurs.

Veneer live in elaborate societies, the largest of which resides in Stone Glen. This massive cave complex has, over the years, developed its own forest ecosystem within. It is also the place in which the royal family resides. Veneer are primarily matriarchal, with power being passed down mother to daughter. Male Veneer have, nevertheless, been known to rule when there are no surviving female siblings. Such is the case with the current King, Forest Master Aleron.

Veneer as a whole are rather reclusive, and prefer to deal primarily with their own species and other Elven societies. They dislike war, and while they will lend some of their numbers to Elven armies, their role is purely that of support, and most Veneer at war are healers.

Gender: Male

Personality: Samael, like most Veneer, is arrogant. He's been raised to believe that his kind are ethically and morally superior to most other folk, and especially humans (whom Veneer believe to be cruel and overtly violent). He has a quiet sort of confidence about him, and, as a member of the royal family, has a certain.. Presence. It's easy for Samael to command the attention of a room when he wishes to do so, but he is much more of an observer than anything else.

Samael thinks first, and acts later. He remembers kindnesses done to him and his people, and similarly, will never forget a slight done to his person. The phrase "remembers like a deer" refers to the Veneeri ability to both remember the best of people, and their refusal to forget the worst in them. Samael is not unkind, but his patience with other people is limited at best. He believes himself to be far more intelligent than most non-Elven folk, and he will not let you forget it. Despite this, he is calm and collected. It's difficult to ruffle Samael feathers, and he's more likely to excuse himself from a discussion than be allowed to get angry over it.

Weaknesses: Like most Veneeri people, Samael is not built for close-quartered battle. Veener are fast, but not very strong, and his bones are fragile. He's at many disadvantages in a fight, and it is for this particular reason that he despises being indoors. Samael is also very much a traditionalist, and although he's been sent by his father as a peaceful observer to the Riot Inn and Tavern, Samael disagrees with his father's opinion that these folk can be reasoned with. People are violent. People are rude, and cruel. Only Elves can truly seek and understand peace... Or, so Samael believes.

Strengths: Samael is a very talented healer and alchemist. He is skilled in both the brewing of potions and the channeling of healing magic. He's multi-lingual, and can communicate with many difference races with ease. This has made him well-suited to his role as a diplomat from Stone Glen.

Brief bio: Samael was both in Stone Glen, and spent most of his life there. The third born to his father and the second youngest son, Samael was free to pursue a life away from court and politics, as his sister was to inherit his father's rule, and, should the worst come to pass, his brother would reign before he. As such, Samael invested himself in the studies of history and magic, and became proficient with his magic at a young age.

As he grew older, Samael branched out into different studies: He grew fascinated with other Elven cultures, and spent time learning languages and studying the cultures of other races in Uallowenor. Despite his feelings toward other races, Samael was always able to handle diplomats with kindness and poise. Because of this, it was not long before his father started to groom him as a diplomat and sometime advisor to his older sister, who was far more hot-headed than himself. Because of this, Samael is much more well-traveled than others of his kin, and much wiser for the experience.

Family:
[li]Forest Master Aleron -- Veneeri King, Father [li]Forest Master Ginisse -- Veneeri Queen Consort, Mother [li]Hylina -- Sister [li]Dylaran -- Brother

Social status: Prince and diplomat

Looks: Samael is tall. Although not quite as large as centaur, Veneeri are at least the size of elk, if not more streamlined and sleek. Samael has the same, creamy-white pelt as his mother, and pale skin. His white hair is long, and worn in complicated plaits braided through with bits of leafy vine and polished, colorful stones. He wears a girdle made of interwoven leather strips, and it ends beneath his pectorals. Like many Veneeri people, Samael paints his chest with geometric patterns. He wears a harness, attached to which is a sling for his staff. Otherwise, he travels very light. He seldom has need for any other clothing.

Name: Izzy Frost Age: 24 Species: Shape-shifter (Fossa) Species details: Each family of shifters has their own ways. Some prefer to use their abilities to shift into wild creatures war while others prefer to blend into society and use their talents only when needed. However if their shifting is not used within a month for at least one night they lose control of their shifting and shift into a wild and sometimes mutated form of their animal for a full day. That shift is uncontrollable. Every individual has their own animal that they can shapeshift into. Most believe that the shifter's animal reflects their personality in some way, but that is mostly a theory. Gender: Female Personality: Izzy prefers to hide in a crowd than draw attention to herself. She is not a fan of the species wars but will fight if she must. She is loyal to her friends and clan. She sometimes has been known to do mercenary work and thievery for the right price. Weaknesses: She would die to protect her family and friends. Strengths: She is able to get into almost anywhere and is good with blades. Brief bio: Her family encouraged her to live on her own for a few years and so she left to see what else there was besides the war that waged around them. Her brother found their family again after his own travels. Family: Her family is small, she has both of her parents (black bear -mom and a squirrel -dad) and an older brother (golden eagle). Social status: Traveller, hand for hire Looks: Izzy is medium height (5'6) with an average build. She has enough muscle on her to make her look dangerous if messed with. She has dark brown hair and honey colored eyes. Her animal form looks like a regular fossa. About 4'6 from head to tail.

[-lilies-and-faeries] It's been ages since I've RP'd and this sounds like a fantastic premise. Let me know if I need to make any revisions.

Name: Klein Sinclair

Age: 20

Species: Human

Species details: (Copy pasted from your description) Humans are one of the most diverse species.

Gender: Male

Personality: Klein is reserved and naive, but not very trusting. He lacks the confidence of many nobles due to insufficient skill in many of his studies as a child. He is openly kind and polite to others, but assumes the worst and anticipates ill intent. He is quick to help others and hesitant to accept it, although he does remember his debts and places great value in a person's word. He is well versed in many subjects, but not especially good in handling day to day problems. He has had little contact with non-human species and is unsure how to feel about them and treats them with caution above all else.

Weaknesses: Klein is not well suited to combat, due to his fighting style revolving around fencing duels and its strict rule set. He also lacks much of the knowledge necessary for survival outside of civilized society.

Strengths: He is smart and able to talk around many problems. While academically smart, his ability to think on his feet has proved far more useful.

Brief bio: Klein was the only child of the Sinlcair family, lower class nobility that had been suffering a steady decline from power. After proving to lack aptitude for economics and failing in becoming a knight he became somewhat ostracized by his father and higher society. This allowed him to move around court more freely with less attention which helped to hone his skill in wordplay and to learn the art of manipulation. After his father made an overly aggressive move to overthrow another family to seize power a small scale civil war erupted among the noble houses. The Sinclair family was eradicated in the process. With all of the family's assets and estates seized and becoming a target of rival noble houses, Klein went on the run. He's been scraping by on whatever work he can find while staying on the move since.

Family: Robert Sinclair: Klein's father and lord of the Sinclair family. Deceased. Amelia Sinclair: Klein's mother and lady of the Sinclair family. Missing, presumed dead.

Social status: Former heir of the Sinclair estate (now confiscated), Wanted by several noble houses

Looks: Fullbody nonsketchy art later Klein stands at 5'6" and has a slim build. He has built up some muscle through training and hard labor since his lifestyle change. He was a somewhat tan complexion and dark ruddy hair tied back into a short ponytail. The most noteworthy aspect of his appearance are his eyes which are sectoral heterochromic. They are a blend of blue and goldish color. His clothes are not well suited for travel and are worn and torn from travel.
