Say hello to Taco the Hedgehog!
He's a pet surrender. He was given to my local exotic store a few weeks ago. After meeting this little guy I knew I had to take him into my home! He's about 2-3 years old and incredibly sweet. He's adapting to his new home very well (and being spoiled greatly!).
If any hedgie owners have advice and tips I'd love to hear it. This is my first time owning a hedgehog (my boyfriend has had them in the past) :)
On a side note, we also adopted this little guy on Saturday! We got him from a breeder at a reptile show :) We're debating on two names right now. Starlord and The Doctor. Would love to hear your preference CC ;)
Aw, they're both so adorable! I've never had a hedgehog, so I can't give you any tips, but I'd love to own one someday. That's good that your boyfriend has had them before, so at least he'll have experience. :)
What type of chameleon is that? I'm partial to the Doctor. ^^
Look at that adorableness. :) I'm actually curious if he makes little squeaks when you hold him or anything? Because that'd be so cute.

Another vote for The Doctor. Doc would be an A+ nickname.
WHAT A CUTIPIE ❤️ How do you carry it? Or pet it?
Oh much gosh, how cute! I want a hedgehog so badly. I would name him Murphy.
He doesn't really make much noise unless hes upset. He hisses and it sounds like a snake lol.
You scoop them from underneath. They don't have any quills on their bellies. When they're relaxed though their quills lay down so you can pet those. They also like to have their bellies rubbed :D
Oh my god ❤️ Are they expensive critters? How do you take care of them? My mom doesn't want any dog, but peharps she'd let me have an hedgehog ..(I can pay for the vet too)
They can be expensive to purchase (150-375 seems to be the average), but they're relatively easy to care for. Just be careful before purchasing one, make sure you look up how to find a healthy one :) My cage is just a storage bin that my boyfriend drilled holes into and cut a hole for a screen in the lid. They eat cat food and some fresh veggies and cooked meat. It's definitely worth some looking into though, they don't have the same smell other rodents have (he smells way better than my rats or hamsters ever did lol!!)
