This function is awful. I can't close it once it's happened, the trees are too big and when I accidentally hover over them, I have to reload the page in order to make a reply. The bottom add overlaps the text box and makes it nearly impossible to use. Please make this optional, Sure it's great and makes things "quicker" but the trees are too big.

I'm not having the same problem as you, but I do wish you could turn off the hover.

Actually, what I would most prefer is for the tree (and link) to appear only when you are hovering, and for the HA to return once you move your mouse. I like looking at HAs in the forums and it seems I am constantly hovering over them on accident and then I have to reload the page.

Please yes... I hate this feature! Get rid of the blasted trees in the forums!

I third this. It always makes my computer lag if I happen to accidentally scroll over two HAs.

This would be fantastic. I know there is/was CSS to turn off the hover thing to reveal the avatar/HA like buttons and all that info, so I would think there would be a way to stop the hover from showing a tree too, I just don't know what it is.

An option to disable this feature would work. I, for one, like the trees in the forums.

Quite frankly I don't like this feature at all. It messes up the boards, makes the site lag and it's very annoying. If I wanted to gift someone something, I'd just go to their profile. It's not that hard to do. But if the feature must be kept, I really like 's idea.

I'd love a way to disable it. If I wanted to look at someone's tree I'd gladly go to their profile or use my own tree image link and replace my user id with theirs.

It lags the page for me and the only way to see the avatar again is to refresh, which is a pain.

Yes please. I didn't even know hovering over it made the tree switch until yesterday when I scrolled down over the HAs and suddenly I thought Subeta broke. Very, very Annoying.

This ^^ I like that you're simplifying (especially since custom profiles sometimes don't show the options for trees etc) and its handy to have, but please make it so that when you drag your mouse away the tree hides again. I hate having to refresh the page because I accidentally moused over the HA and now there's a tree instead of the HA I was trying to see.

or at least change it to where you have to hover for 3 seconds before it switches.

I think the tree hovering would be fine if it went away once you moved your cursor off of the tree/HA area. It should toggle, not just appear permanently. (I'm not sure how much work that would be/how much of a strain it would be, but since it shows up at all I'd think having it hide again when not hovering wouldn't be too difficult.)

Yes please. I don't mind the feature but being able to turn it off for those who don't want it seems reasonable.

I like the OP and idea's. Mainly because I like look at HA too.

[edit]And I also like to look at trees too. And gift bombing to empty trees is easier!

i got a suggestion. if you have adblock or similar browser addon, you can block all the trees. that's what i do as workaround. the trees are quite heavy for me.

I like the feature, but it lags for me, and accidentally mousing over triggers it. Having an option to turn it off would be absolutely wonderful!

I can't say I'm too terribly fond of the trees appearing with a hover, either. :/ It feels like a bug, makes the site lag/hang for me, and is just... not useful in my honest opinion. I feel that putting a little tree icon below the avatar would make far more sense.
