Every time I get a new event a red dot and number appear in all the Subeta tabs I have open, I can see how this can be useful, but I really don't care for it. Is there a option to turn this off and if so, where?

in user dashboard, under the widgets tab, there are sidebar options. I assume the "dashboard" choice opts out of events, but I have never tried it.

I use the "Dashboard" option for the Sidebar and it doesn't opt you opt of events. You still get them though lately the red notification dot thing hasn't been working for me.

I don't really think there's any way to opt out, although I think I saw someone post that they've done so...so maybe some sort of CSS edit would do this?

I have noscript and I think something on there blocks it and I can go a while without seeing the red dots, but then all of a sudden I am unable to do something else (that I was able to do before) and have to allow noscript which then brings the dot back, until it randomly disappears again.

After posting this thread, the red dot disappeared even though I didn't do anything and it hasn't come back yet, but I imagine it will at some point.

I'll have a look in the dashboard.

I also find this very annoying and I use noscript to shut it off. Lately its been popping back on because of the site changes - along with random font changes and odd formatting that has been going on lately.
