Hey'all, tis the season and the bears know the reason! I'm not as organized as I would like to be but that's nothing new - but it is time to get things rolling onward with our Luminaire party so here we go!

To keep things simple this thread will be the official thread for the event ❤

There's no sP limit. Kellijuana so eloquently put it: "I like the idea of leaving it open and letting the spirit of giving be what it is"

How it works:

Ping me on this thread before December 15th if you want to participate. Your name will be added below.

December 16th I'll sMail the name of your victim er.. target ect.

This is a 5 day event (December 21th through the 25th) You can send whatever you like but keeping in the spirit of the Secret Santa/Shinwa tradition is by giving some nice inexpensive things the first four days and a really nice present the fifth day.

Use the gift center and don't forget to click the Anonymous option LOL!

IF you're not able to be here but still want to be part of this, I'll send things for you, just let me know via sMail and send me the items along with any message you want passed along with it.

IF you do not receive a gift, LET ME KNOW. Computers crash, plans change, internet goes out, things happen. I always have a back-up plan in place and do not want anyone to feel left out.

As always this is completely voluntary - if you would like to be part and are wondering what we usually give, in years past we've gone with anything you would love to have for a holiday dinner is more than welcome.

I'm also going to donate some ornament boxes so others have a chance of getting shiny stuff for their tree - you know how I am with shiny stuff!

Tammy will be putting up several junk trades from tonight until around the 23rd of December. Anyone who wants to add to the feast simply offer the items you want to give on one of them.

If your offer is "rejected" DO NOT FREAK OUT - all that means is someone else also bid on the same trade - all you gotta do is bid on a different one ❤ - this should eliminate any donation trade pings/comments getting lost in the shuffle and Tammy can pick them up when she's online and ready to put them away.

You can also send her the items you want to give but please talk to her first - that makes for quite a mess if you're trying to quest or vend.

The mass donation will take place some time on the evening of the 24th, I'll ask her to send out a group ping before hand so anyone who's around and wants to see the flood of delicious goodies and ornaments hit the Donation Center can go have a look.

So.. quick recap

If you want to participate in the Secret Santa/Shinwa, it will begin December 21st. Ping me BEFORE December 15th and I'll add you to the list. You'll get the name of your victim er.. target sometime December 16th via sMail. Use the gift center - REMEMBER to stay anon - give hints if you like, keep it totally secret - that choice is yours. I will NOT reveal you unless you ask me to at the end.

If you would like to donate to the Holiday Feast, pick up some goodies, go to the trading center, search for lovetogrdn and bid your donations on one of her trades. If more than one person bids on that trade, the others are automatically rejected. If/when that happens, rebid the items on a different trade.

The Holiday Feast was something we started a few years ago as a way to share the season here like people do out "there". We pitch in food we love to eat and to keep it organized, 1 member puts all into the Donation Center at once on Luminaire (Dec. 24th)

For example I love appetizers so I'll be spending some of my trinkets I have hoarded away at the Libertine Lounge on little goodies - I also love shiny things so I've bid 20 boxes of ornaments on 2 of Tammy's junk trades =)

Okay, I will make sure to do that at some point. Thank you for the information. :)

the best part.. stalking the Donation Center after Tammy pings the group and seeing just how giving our group is. I have tears in my eyes every year - every year. ❤

My input on the price cap, I love the idea of small gifts the first four days. ^_^ Maybe price cap that for the fun and creativity of finding meaningful cheap gifts. In general though, I'm not a fan. I guess I understand why people like caps on one end or the other, to make sure everyone gets a decent prize or so no one feels like they can't give as nice a gift as someone else. But I like the idea of leaving it open and letting the spirit of giving be what it is. If someone doesn't have a lot and wants to pelt their victim with a cheap, pretty plushie, bombs away! If they have a custom they decide they don't like anymore and see it on their victims' 'searching for' siggy, they should be able to gift that if they feel like it. I wouldn't want anyone to feel like the gift they sent or received wasn't good enough, but then I don't think it should be about that at all! If all I could get you is a spork and someone else got a malice... well... I love you and I'm so sorry I couldn't get you that, but my spork was wrapped in LOVE! Just like that malice was, and thats what the presents are really about. So I'm not gonna feel inadequate over it, and I'm not gonna feel butt-hurt if my shinwa got me a spork and yours got you a malice. YAY for you! I'm so happy for you! And I'm gonna stick my love spork in my gallery <3 hehe Personally, I don't have a lot to spend, but I do have quite a few really nice items rotting away in my vault and wardrobe that are waiting to go under a tree or in a giftbox.
