Hello! I was wondering if the recycle beast is worthwhile?

Well that depends which/how badly you want items from the Recycle Shop. Personally, I just hoard items from Item Hunt + Slots to recycle when they come up, I don't usually buy anything. I don't trade in sP for points either, other than for the achievement (you can usually buy at least some of the day's items for way less than 10k sP per point if you're looking to spend money on it)

Yeah, the trading in the sp doesn't seem worth it to me so I was thinking about starting to trade in the actual items like a non-lazy person. :p I really want the stickers/plushies/bean bags and it seems like it would end up being cheaper to trade in items instead of buying the prizes from users.

Looking at some of the items in user shops and working out the price per point, it's generally hanging around 10k per recycle point for a lot of items. So buying items from users is just as cost efficient as using the smelter. You can easily buy up a lot of commonly recycled items for a lot less than that.

That is awesome news that it would be a lot cheaper recycling items. Do the items that get recycled repeat often?

Reasonably. It seems pretty random what comes up and how often, but keeping a good stack of Item Hunt and Slots prizes to hand as Darkrai suggested is probably your best bet for turning things in on a regular basis.

you can also get ready at 12 am to quickly buy cheap items. there are some competition, but you will get something out of it. sometimes pawn shop has hundred of the items too, but it take a little bit more effort to buy hundred from the pawn shop.

or if you have all the time in the world, you can periodically search the items in case they show up in the main shop. i used to do that for cheap and low rarity items, but it requires patience.
