Can we still get the stickers from releasing snow fairies?

I just released three, didn't get any stickers from it. I thought I remembered the stickers being for handing in fairies to be cured, not for releasing them.

I dont remember how we got them but I wish we could still get them.

this might be a dumb question but what do the snow faries do?

Nope, just the layout/achievement

Since they don't serve any real purpose on the site, the achievement (and layout) was added to release 1,000 of them to help keep the amount of them on the site down.

This has been done with a few other items in the past as well :)

You can sell them to other users and you can collect them and you can use them for TC fodder. Snow Fairies used to be a lot more rare, and there was an Achievement (still? not sure why everyone is saying they have no other purpose) for having all the colors in your Inventory. Since you'd be lucky to see six in any one winter, this was quite hard to get.

Then folks complained that they were hard to get, so the drop rate was increased. Then users complained bitterly over and over again that they were still hard to get, so the drop rate was increased again, and they became worth only 1 sP. Now folks complained that they were too cheap (but still not enough of them so ...???..., and anyways there was a huge glut, so reducing the droprate didn't work) So the Achievement to release 1000 of them was created. This was quite easy to do, but it drove the price to about ten times what you see today. Then they were restricted to only Luminaire with the plot three years ago. Most people seem to have the Site Layout already now though.

If their rarity category changes to "game prize" or "holiday item" maybe a quest grantor will want them in the future and their value will increase again, no way to tell. But right now they're just "retired".

How many colors are there? I can't get the "required items" to load on the achievement, so I don't know which one I'm missing ^X^; I have bluegreen, green, pink, red, violet, white, and yellow.

Since I joined last June, I don't have the Luminaire layout yet... at the rate I'm going, it'll probably be next year before I do ^X^;

There's also a plain Snow Fairy that you need for the achievement. They're not given out through REs, but I have one in my gallery you can borrow for the achievement if you want

Not a problem~ They're almost 200k in user shops, which is a little pricey just for one achievement if you don't want to keep the fairy afterwards :P

I guess I've just not been paying attention but do we know is the 1000 release still active? Is there a special place we go? Do the ones in the balls count?

Yes, it's still active. I'm not sure if the entranced ones count, but they're kind of expensive to use for that.

I don't think you have to go anywhere, you should just get it when you release your last fairy.

Right, the entranced snow fairies are expensive so it's probably not the best idea to release them, even if they did count. They don't have a release option though.

I'm sorry I misspoke, do I need to take the regular fairies to like the wizard or whatever to release them.
