I read through the overlays FAQ, but I wasn't sure if they applied to the custom pet image option, and I want to be positive I'm not breaking any rules!

Are we allowed to alter art of an official pet as long as we aren't doing it to make it look like our pet is a different species or color? To be specific, I want to make a custom pet image of an Experiment to add wings to him and maybe change the color of his hair. Is it okay for me to do this as long as I only use the custom image for my pet who's really a 76166?

[edit] And another thing... can I get the wings off of another piece of official pet art so they match the Subeta style? After reading further in the FAQ thread, I get the impression that this is okay, but I want to be sure :)

I'm positive edits using official subeta art are fine. I have an experiment who just gotten his custom overlay approved. Basically I changed a few colors, and added some markings taken from galactic pets.

Good luck with your overlay c: The only thing, as far as I know is that you have to make edits for the art for it to be approved. My pet Credits is just an Experiment with a couple of edits c: (And Zydrate just has a color change~)
