I know we just had two gorgeous new pets come out recently, the Noktoa and the Neela, so this would be moreso for in the future.

Oviparous is, loosely defined, the term used for animals that are hatched from eggs. If you want the full definition, click the link There are only a very few viviparous animals that lay eggs. Most are oviparous. These few mammals are found here.

Viviparous is, loosely defined, the term used for animals that give natural births - aka: mammals. Once again, the full definition can be found by clicking the link. The page has both animals and plants. Ignore the plants lol! XD

Anyway, I thought I'd make this thread as a way to suggest pets you'd like to see without any kind of negative feedback. Just post away! It doesn't matter if the pet's been suggest already or not! This is for staff to see how many people may want to see the same specie and hopefully they'll crop up in the future!

Just wanted to point out we already have several of these:

Maybe refine the list a bit to name some species we don't currently have?

Edit: Also platypus should be moved to the oviparous section, they are mammals yes but they lay eggs. That said I think a platypus pet would be awesome.

I don't understand the need to classify pets as oviparous vs viviparous, and I don't understand what that has to do with wanting them as pets. I guess it's natural to want to keep some organization if this is meant to act as a big master list of pets people want to see on-site, and I guess that's why it's a thing? I just think it's unnecessary to do it to that degree. Like I kind of reread your OP for a few minutes, trying to figure out what I was missing and what how animals give birth had to do with anything. :c

And I agree with that some of the animals on the list already have equivalents on Subeta.

But I'd personally like to see a snail or an elephant, and maybe a crocodile skink.

I would like to see more aquatic or insect based pets. In a different thread some pointed how much of the current pets are land mammals.

tbh I wish there was a Star-nosed mole pet or a megalodon pet :P

In my opinion we for example need more insects, sea creatures, a pig/boar or an elephant-like Pet.

Mantis shrimp I'd love to see other sea creatures too, but mantis shrimp first plz

Things we absolutely don't need : four more dog pets and three more fox pets.

Crocodile/alligator could be fun, and I've been thinking about suggesting a wallaby/kangaroo for a little while now.

Oh, and armadillo/pangolin. I know we already have the priggle, but the plates could be a cool feature to add onto another animal, like a kangaroo-madillo. Or a lop-eared-kangaroo-madillo. Yes.

Anteater

African water buffalo (I just want to see the horns used on something. I don't care about the rest of it because we have the bovyne which I hope will get revamped in my lifetime)

I'd love to see a shark pet (I know we've got the adorable tutani, but something with gills and some teeth would be nice too!) Any kind of shark, there's a huge variety to pick from; I have a soft spot for thresher sharks and their amazing tails, myself. I can totally imagine a bizarre shark-like experiment pet. And since we're on the topic of different modes of animal reproduction for some reason . . . depending on the type of shark, they can be oviparous, viviparous, or ovoviviparous. Lots of different kinds of shark parents. Pretty neat!

I don't really understand why OP has suggested these pets in such a way.

Although I agree a platypus would make an awesome species or even experiment pet. Kangaroos and sharks would add to a wide selection of pets aswell. But if we're all suggesting pets we'd like to see I'm going to say GIVE ME AN ALPACA OR LLAMA

There are a few exceptions to the rule, but the live bearing is one of the major differences in boas and pythons. :)

That said, I am fine with us having just the serpenth as a general snake-based pet. I AM in support of a lizard based pet that isn't 2 headed. XD
