Could it be possible to block that user shops too? We can't access their profile or trades, or anything else, but we can still buy from their shop. If I block someone, I do it because I want absolutely nothing to do with them or their shop has a nasty name I don't want to see anymore. So can something be done about it? Thanks :)

I understand how you feel, but blocking was designed to stop harassment via communications. Buying from a shop or them buying from yours really isn't harassment.

If you cannot handle a "nasty" shop name, perhaps you shouldn't be on the internet. This does not need to be changed in the slightest.

The point of blocking someone is having no interaction with them whatsoever. Technically, buying from a users shop or them buying from yours is still interaction with them. If someone is going to be blocked, they need to be blocked alltogether. Personally if I block someone, I don't want to see their name coming up in my shop where they bought things.

has the right to feel however she wants to about whatever she wants to, and she has the right to state it here on the internet. Some people actually have preferences to not seeing degeneracy, sexual references, curse words, or whatever else offends them around the site.

Do people really examine their shop logs that much and look for names of users they blocked?

I just don't understand how simply seeing someone's UN on a shop log can anger or offend someone.

I feel bad for people being legitimately harassed and having to resort to blocking. I can't speak for everyone, but users block each other way too often over the silliest things nowadays. From stating an opposing opinion on a topic to- "OMG so many idiots in this thread...I'm gonna block you all, my block list is so big now ha ha ha" With such huge block lists, they may almost run out of places to shop if this were ever implemented XD

If their shop's name really offends you so much maybe try looking into a censoring extension for your browser. It's the internet and Subeta expects users to be mature enough to be able to handle "nasty" words maturely, so nothing should be done about the "nasty" shop names, imo.

There's no good reason to change how blocking words in regards to shops. If you don't want to buy from someone, don't. If you don't want them buying from you, too bad.

And I really don't see the logic in then creating options to choose which you want to block because users can do that themselves without implementations from Subeta. [edit] Got a forum point! Woohoo. Everyone else, when I am on a quest and in a hurry, it happens I don't have time to see the shops name I don't want to buy from, I click fast and then it hits my eyes. If it isn't possible to do anything else about it, I'll be more careful. No need to bite my head off...again...And yes, shop names like My Vagina insult my intelligence. Many players complained about it, yet it's still there...

I don't see some of those amusing/weird shop names being any worse than having your status state that Subeta should take Viagra so they will "stay up" shrug

How does the name of the female anatomy insult someone's intelligence? She didn't choose the slew of other nastier names used for that part of the body. It's a shame you'd want to block that user simply because of their shop name. What other shop names are "nasty"? I haven't seen any...

I'm not trying to bite your head off here; I really haven't seen many users complaining about it (?) When you said nasty, I thought you meant a bunch of curse words, something racist, or super vulgar. Not this.

i completely understand your feeling. i recently find a shop name that really bugs me. i block the user but i still can buy from the shop.

i haven't venture much on browser extension on blocking them. but here's an idea. find a program that monitors your internet communication detail. check what information it send when you click "buy" from that shop using the program. then, use adblock or other blocking extension to block the send request, but modify it to include all item from the shop.

if extension doesn't work. you can always block on router level if you have access to it. that usually works for me if everything else fails.

The shop named "buy something or get out" bugs me. Doesn't offend me, but I do go out of my way to not purchase stuff there. "Oh, you're going to be rude to your customers? Be that way, and see where it gets you." I personally haven't seen a shop with a title that I simply couldn't stand, but I can understand the annoyance when it happens. Making it so that a block hides someone's shops from you might be complicated or even impossible, but I think that if enough people complain about it, it's no big deal for the owner to be notified that the name needs to change. That's the only plausible action I can see being taken about this concern. And it IS a concern. Yeah, you have a right to name your shop whatever you want, but look at it this way... a pet named 'My Vagina' will never win the spotlight. Lol

There's a user or two I try to avoid buying from, but not because of their shop names. And sometimes I don't look and I buy from them. Just try to check better next time (unless of course you can block it through your browser as others have said). I don't see any reason why this has to be included in the block feature, personally.
