It's actually kind of thought-provoking! If... you think about it, lol. :)

Buying Good(for the person receiving): 1.) You're willing to spend money(and they tend to be expensive) 2.) You have the option to get really nice or exotic ones Good(for you): Garden or wild? Bugs? Stem length? Cut angle? Wrapper? Ribbon? Color scheme? Accents? Pollen? DIRT? Nuh-uh.

Picking Good(for the person receiving): 1.) You're willing to put in the effort/It's more personal Your garden=You literally grew and tended it for months before giving it(SUPER PERSONAL!) Wild=You literally went out of your way to compose a bouquet from scratch(SUPER CUTE!) Bonus Points if you added accents!

You can probably tell that I lean more towards towards picking them personally, whether it's for me or from me (unless it's an occasion that calls for a really big fancy bouquet, at which point I spare no expense)... But how about you? Share your opinions! :D

Hypothetically, I guess I'm more of the person who'd pick different colored wild flowers because (as you mentioned) it's more personal and I enjoy spending time with nature. So, win-win for myself and the person I'm gifting.

~ Realistically though, where I live, flowers are mainly just beautifully grown swamp weeds lol

I'd love to pick flowers, but I don't really have room to grow them, unfortunately! If I had more room I would grow them for the express purpose of making arrangements for my GF, but buying them is really the option I've got.

Being married and having a joint checking account, I would much rather receive picked flowers versus bought flowers. I know how expensive they can get, and unfortunately, they just don't last very long. We have rose bushes in our yard, and once my husband picked some roses for me, and was even thoughtful enough to pick off the thorns! They lasted as long as a store-bought bouquet, and then we had and extra $50 to spend on something fun... like the water bill...

Being a grown up sucks.
