Ooh, I like the template. I might try it after I'm done with my current pictures. What about adding or changing her markings? Or adding a background? I think I'd actually quite like to try and give her a detailed shading if that's alright with you - I enjoy drawing fur and antlers a lot. Though if you specifically want it to be pixel art with flat colors...

Thank you! And I hope you do have the time to enter! I really need her design to be finalized. I'd really love to keep the background either white or transparent but if you want to add a small background or objects that's fine. You may add/change markings, her antlers and fur and the detailed shading is perfectly fine. I just don't want anyone to feel intimidated by shading fur. Haha. And it doesn't have to be pixel art- I just use MS Paint more than SAI which is why the lines are pixel-y.

I might be interested. I like the idea of coloring / designing a template, but I was wondering if you could tell me more about the character idea you have for her first?

She doesn't have much of a character at this moment, to be honest. I'm more of a visual person so I normally creature a character and the rest comes from that.

When I initially started working on this design for her I decided she was going to be like a kirin/deer-inspired character. I had decided that she was going to be a sort of guardian character in this paradise of eternal spring, my inspiration for which being the Greek idea of the Elysian Fields. Right now she has no set personality or history-just this basic foundation. And although I say it's for my pet XIII- I'm thinking of swapping names with my other pet Shika.
