There are plenty of times I'd like to send sP as gifts. However, the current way of going about it, using the vouchers, just really isn't working. There are a few ways I thought about doing this without having to use the trading center as people normally get suspicious (well, at least they have with me) whenever they're asked to set a junk trade up.

Through the Gift Center

I thought it'd be a nice addition to be able to send someone sP through the Gift Center. There could be something underneath the inventory items on the gift page, but above the send button, where it says, "Include sP in your gift:" and there'd be a box where you could enter any amount.

Changing the current sP Vouchers:

I know we have those sP vouchers, but those things are just, in a word, w-ell, terrible. You can only get a maximum of a 10k voucher and, I think, a max of 5 per day. That's not very much in today's game play. Then there's the tedious task of having to redeem them all. One...by...one...which...is...p-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-i-n-ful. X_x

I think these vouchers have to change and badly. Maybe they could change in such a way where you can create a voucher of any amount and then it'd appear in your inventory, just like the vouchers do now. That way you can send the item to your friend as a gift in a simplistic way instead of being limited by how many vouchers you can create and how much each one is for. You can create unlimited amounts of vouchers. This way it'd make the voucher redemption MUCH easier.

Money Orders:

Change the Vaults in Centropolis to Bank. It could even be called The National Bank of Subeta. It doesn't make sense to call them vaults solely because there's much more that you can do in there than just access your item vault.

In here, you could create a personalized money order. In an area of the bank, there'd be a Money Order section. In that section it'd look a lot like this:

On the top though, above the friend drop-down menu, there'd be a third box with a message before it. It'd say, "Total Amount of sP To Include In Money Order". It'd then have a box next to it that you could input any sP amount.

To make this safe, you'd have to input your Login password so that the system knows you're the one that's actually sending this sP to whomever. The Password box would be below the box where you could type a person's name in. The box's caption would be "Input Login Password:" and the box would then be next to it. I know there's the PIN feature, but not everyone uses it probably due to not being able to remember it and if you forget your PIN you can't access anything again as I don't believe Staff can retrieve it for you, nor reset it. Your password is something everyone remembers. The password feature would be identical to your signature on an actual RL money order.

When the user receives the Money Order from whomever, they would receive an sMail in their inbox saying they've received a Money Order with X amount of sP from (insert username here)! The sP would be instantly placed into their on-hands sP at the same time the sMail is sent to alert them as to why they instantly have so many sPs onhand XD

Either that or there could be a new event on your Subeta: (username here) Widget where a buff would go. There'd be a little image of a $ and something that reads "You have a money order!". As soon as they'd click on that, the sP would be instantly transferred to their onhands sP and there'd be a message on the new page saying, "You've received a Money Order of X amount of sP from User (name)! The sPs have been added to your onhands amount!"

Just a few suggestions. I know it's been brought up in the past about changing sP Vouchers to allow for greater amounts, but I just can't find the topic and it might be too old a post to resurrect. This is why I've made a new one.

If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to post here. It'd be nice to have some sort of simple surprise way of giving sP as gifts without having to redeem 5934757632 vouchers and not having do so through trades as it can remove the element of surprise.

I wouldn't mind seeing the voucher system updated, but I don't see any reason to add a whole new money order system.

Trades and Vouchers (if they ever get updated) seem like fine ways to give money to other users.

I think they knocked down the voucher idea because it would be way too easy for potential scammers/multis to transfer sP across accounts, but I would still love to see higher denominations, even if it was just 100k x_x

If anything you could send a cute cheap gift telling the person to set up a junk trade then offer the sP on it with a cute message. Not needed.

This is fascinating idea, but unnecessary, and not necessarily any more fun than how Subeta already works, so no support.

You could Gift the person you want to give sP to, the junk item itself to make the Junk Trade with. If they're still suspicious, they're probably not such good friends with you yet. Relax! Gift them sP some other time when they've gotten to know you better.

That would be nice, too, Blanche. It would also be nice if there was a max of maybe 20 for non-GAs and 40 for GAs or...I dunno...maybe that's too much. However, 5 a day just seems so meager.

also the scamming argument for vouchers doesn't work that well, since a scammer could just make a junk trade to transfer the SP.

if anything, vouchers would be more work for a scammer, not less.

I'd love bigger vouchers, and I'd REALLY LIKE the limit to be upped from the 50k I think it is at right now. Maybe vouchers aren't used a whole lot on site, but I really like the thought of vouchers as a gift idea. Kind of a lame and super tedious thing, though, when the vouchers are so small and you can only make a couple of them a day. I don't understand why there's a limit (to the sP amount you can put into vouchers a day) at all?

Anyway, yeah. I don't see the need for a new or unnecessary money system, but I'd love if vouchers could have a bit of a revamp.

I've been here 8 years and I don't think I've ever used the Voucher system. Even when I was new the 10k limit was just so small I would never bother with it. I would love to see them updated to larger amounts for sure.

I also don't mind the idea of sending sp in the Gift Center, that seems like the easiest solution (other than larger vouchers) and I would probably use that if I ever gifted sp. Usually I just send wishlist items.

I don't think we really need a whole new system but the voucher limitations are definitely outdated, it's just such small amounts of sp... I know I never bother with them and find other ways to send sp to friends.

Being able to add sp onto gifts would definitely be a nice touch, though.
