I would love to own a pet that's completely tangled in a string of light and/or tree decorations. They could be coloured any combination of green / red / white.

I think it would be nice to have festive pets on here.

I dunno, I like the idea of maybe something gingerbread, but the others sorta put me in mind of the xmas ones on neo.

I would really enjoy this a lot. :) I mean I acknowledge I could just get an overlay, or something, if it came down to it, but pets with peppermint or gingerbread parts, or maybe tangles of lights and ornaments hanging from them, would be all kinds of cute.

We have Glacier, and Sweetheart for candy pets. You can color the candies in a red and white theme. I don't know how well this would work out, so I'd say overlays are your best way to go.

I'm throwing my vote in for gingerbread. Maybe there could be some sort of unique way to get the color.

They should be recolors of common, not redraws. We already have three Luminaire redraws. We haven't had a recolor of common since Nuclear

Also, we already have a real Luminaire color, which literally involves a old man living on the north, building toys. It's Nostalgic. Nothing is going to beat Nostalgic as the One True Luminaire Color(TM) to me because of the way you get it.

yeah a gingerbread or candycane recolor would be just fine.

As much as I want to support a common recolor, I can't get behind the idea due to the fact that not all pets even have the nuclear recolor. Nuclear was released years ago and isn't finished. If it takes that long to put effort into recolors, I would rather see that time put into working on the pose changing colors.

I really don't know how I would feel if they made a gingerbread pet color. I would hope they would not look the same texture as one. I like how the sweetheart pets have a little bit of candy in, but I like more that their pink and not doesn't actually look entirely of candy.

It all depends on how it's done. If you google Christmas Lawn Ornaments and hit image search a whole slew of ornament ideas come up. The Luminaire pets could look like that some of them.

Others could be covered in candles.

Some again could be coloured the way the snow fairies are and covered in snow fairies

Some could also be covered in snow (but different from the Glacier colour as that's more ice than snow).

It just needs to be careful how things are done as Keith doesn't like clothes on pets. However, these ideas aren't clothes...

However, there are still the Nostalgic pets that are also Luminare related as people love to give toys and stuffies as gifts XP There are still a lot of pets that need to yet to be turned into Nostalgic creations :D

Nostalgic is meant to be the luminaire pet color so I don't see a need for another one. That said, if this were a color I would prefer it to be a common recolor as well simply because we tend to get more new pet colors but few new common pet colors.

Four Nuclear pets are missing for completion.

I think we're missing 10 or 11 angelic pets.

The argument of "After all these years, Nuclear still isn't complete" makes me go "wut", especially since we already have three redraws for the season, and we haven't had a single common recolor since what, 2008? 2009?

True, compared to the new dynamic pose pets, commons are rather boring, but at the same time, we have more than enough dynamic pet colors as is. Heck, there was one released recently. I'd rather they finish the commons and colors that are already available before adding another color to the mix, common or otherwise.

Admittedly, I also think it's somewhat redundant to have a second luminaire pet color when there already is one on site as well.

I love common pet color poses hah. A nice chunk of my pets are common color pet poses! Usually that's some of my favorite art. I'd love there to be just more standard colorfills as well as some more detailed ones like Nuclear. A Saheric themed colorfill pet would probably be the prettiest thing on this site.

I don't know if I agree with every pet being available in every color before they add more though. That would take a long time to happen anyway and after that pet color releases would get quite boring since it would just be the same color every time, unless they released a whole bunch of new colors shortly after each other.

Nuclear not being complete is a perfectly valid argument , and comparing it to pose changing colors doesn't make sense. Of course redraws like angelic are going to take more time. Each pet needs to be redrawn from scratch, critiqued for anatomy and have any issues fixed, and in some cases make sure the poses match in the case of revamps. If it's a new pet being created, an appropriate color scheme needs to be put together, since not all angelic pets are blue/white. Plus, angelic is only released during certain times of the year. Nuclear... is a recolor. An already made PSD needs to be colored to match a color scheme. While I can believe that perhaps some of the older pets may not have PSD's available, there's no reason why a newer species such as the Bhakoru shouldn't have nuclear. That particular species was created after nuclear.

I agree that this would be a redundant pet color but some of the ideas here could be cute for minions/plushies/beanbags that are released through Melody's Cottage.
