I have a simular situation. I decided to invite friends over a couple times in the week who also struggle with eating healthy and cheap. We do groceries together split the costs and cook together. Sometimes we cook several dishes and freeze the meals so we have diffrent meals.
This made a signifant diffrence for us. Choose food that doesnt spoil fast. Soups are a great healthy and cheap option for a meal and you can freeze the leftover soup for another day.
Hope these tips help!
That's nice.I wouldn't want anyone from my town in my house.I live in a not so good town..Tons of gossip, pot heads,thieves,ect..So I try and stay away from all of them.Which just makes them gossip more..they drive by and report everything they see and then the fun begins..
Anyway I mostly have pasta which stays good for awhile.
Today I cooked elbow noodles with plain pasta sauce and diced tomatoes.I cooked the pasta in the sauce. To save on my water usage. The more water you use the higher the electric bill.I don't have a water bill.
