has anyone considered this school? i am in the process of discussing details..from what i know so far:::

expensive tuition debatable success with the school..(some like it, some dont) technology is alot better then a decade ago. The art field is hard to get a job..

but here is my sitution..

I dont have a car, cant drive My state doesnt have alot of education that is great, some universities but most of them have like traditional art, not so much for 2d animation/3d animation... I dont have any bus routes near me at all.. so basically education here is a challenge and my travel situation.

The reason I mainly want to do this to get better art wise, to be challenged and to know how to market myself/get better with deadlines. so here is the art i have done onsite and regular artwork at deviantart

so basically if you were me-- with what i have done in mind, with my sitution, do you think this would be a good opportunity? and do you know anyone that went to this school?

I understand only I can feel this is good for me since it varies upon person and the situation...just need some positive feedback, if anyone can help...

thank you

I personally don't know anything about the school, but from the name alone it doesn't sound too great. Art is something where skill matters more than a degree, and while some people do benefit from being in a classroom setting, paying to learn art online doesn't seem like the greatest idea. Plus, part of getting into the art field and the benefit of going to school for it is making connections and networking, and I'm not sure how much you'd be able to do that through an online school.

If you're really interested in doing art, and you're planning on doing it online anyways, I would say just follow tutorials that you can find online for free. Figure out what your goals are, and make a plan to reach that by practicing and seeing what other artists are doing. Join online art communities and try to get to local art galleries or classes if you can.

Admittedly, I don't have personal experience with this particular school or art school in general, but it just seems that if you want to go to art school you should at least do it in person.

edit; I didn't look at your deviantArt before posting, your art is a lot better than I was expecting for whatever reason, so I'm sure you've already been practicing and learning from things a lot. But, online art school still sounds iffy to me.

after my post I made, I looked at alumi and their art,i read some places are better at online and as long its accedited and my portfolio is good, some dont care about where you get it, as long you have a good portfolio..soo i guess its hit or miss depending on who reviews my future art, and how well i take to it..

at any rate, i got low low income, and since i cant travel, and im at home, im applying for aid, and trying it out for two years. I would like to transfer credits over to a college where i can be there physically if it doesnt work out and if my situation changes..

i guess ill see how much ill get jan 1st after i put up my application and see where that goes. better then nothing, and sadly have not advanced with the free route. down to the nitty gritty of options.

ty for your input, ill take it into consideration :D
