Today I earned a loyalty box and used it to get a pet slot totem. I already had another pet slot totem from last year and wanted to use them to get two extra pets. I also had a 1 week gold account medal ready for these extra slots. However I used one pet slot totem before activating my gold account and my number of pets changed from “11 out of 6” to “11 out of 7”.

It’s obvious that I should have activated my gold account first to get 12 slots, but if I activate it now will the number of slots change to 12 or stay 7?

Yes, when you activate it the number will change to add 5 slots. So if it currently says 7 it will say 12. c:

It was quite a relief to read this. I recently came back to the site after a long break (Thanks everyone, btw, for not stealing any of my pet names. Neener Neener) and saw that my pet slots read 12/7, and I had no idea what the connotations were. Was it a glitch? If I pointed it out, would five of my pets be taken away? If I tried adding pet slots, would it work/ would the total new slots have to exceed five in order to work/If I got rid of a pet, would I still be able to adopt one, or would I have to get rid of six pets in order to adopt one/ etc. Actually, that last one remains unanswered, but it's irrelevant, as I adore all my pets and would never get rid of one. Except maybe EstrelaLuz, but I'd sooner pay to change her name than get rid of her altogether. Fyi, my slots increased through the use of a One Year loyalty totem, beyond that, I don't remember. Which brings me to a related question... are Loyalty Totems granted for each year of membership? I only ever received the one, so I am very curious (I figure this is a topic-related question, as it pertains to pet slots).
