I have a problem of talking big and being really confident with my opinions. It's one of the qualities I like about myself, because I'm stubborn and I'll say what I believe is right, even if it's at the cost of a comfortable situation. That being said, I'm also extremely sensitive. Just today someone said a few personal insults that really hurt my feelings, and I know a big part of it is because how I present my opinions. I'm working on developing a thicker skin, but in the meantime it still drives me to tears.
Does anyone else experience this? Being really loud and confident and then having it turn on you later? I guess this is all fancy talk for being a big crybaby in my case, but I was just curious if other people experienced this.

The problem is you're making statements about something, and they're making personal insults. It's what stupid people do when they can't string together a coherent argument. The only solution, unfortunately, is to keep your opinions to yourself unless you feel like you're in a safe place to express yourself. It's really too bad but that's how our country works, it's not fair, and it's no longer a real democracy since people with differing political beliefs constantly get death threats and doxxed nowadays.
Maybe my view is too pessimistic, but it's the only solution I've found for myself.
