How many of you are sick of the same scary monster roaring in your face every time your finger slips? I have a few ideas: For example, when you don't have all the items for a quest, how about the NPC giving the quest say "You don't have all my items yet, come back again when you do." Only the Item Hunter does this. So, I'm saying, more NPCs telling you you can't do something. Another certain site has more variety telling you what you can do, can not do, when a holiday related location is closed, etc.
It was also nice, I found, that the option to read a book to your pet, if they've already read it, is removed from the options. Unfortunately this does not apply when you already have something in your wardrobe or collection (except when you buy from a user shop). This improvement, I have to say, I like very much, keep up with that.
I love the idea of adding some variety to the error messages, especially with the quest givers and not having their items.
I'm guessing that has to do with the fact it would have to run an account search to check each time, which might be taxing on the servers.
I wouldn't mind seeing something other than the 404 experiment every now and then.
I think this'd put a lot of strain on the servers. If it's not too many items, you can always account search them and it'll tell you how many you have and just where they are: collection, wardrobe, vault, shop/gallery etc.)
