So I enjoy finding those random "shiny" coins and using them to hope for a nice item out of it.
I just got to wondering what if there were a prize pool or structure each color drew from? Like on a gold coin I got a common food item, yet on a copper got a SubQ. Not that I don't like the randomness, but wouldn't it make sense a gold coin can get you a SubQ over copper?
Maybe an idea could be each coin has a range of rarities they can pull from? Or shop type? Or increase the odds of getting rarer items with them (per color)?
Like pewter is worth less than copper, copper worth less than silver, silver worth less than gold in how we view things. So maybe have pewter have a 1/20 chance to get SubQ. Copper 1/15. Silver 1/10. Gold 1/5 or something like this?
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
I agree. I haven't had any luck using the coin machine. No matter what coin I use I always get something worth much less than the coin itself. Usually I get a wearable worth 1-3k.
I actually prefer the current system, since all the coins are pretty much equal in worth and no matter which one you get in a RE, the end result would probably be the same.
No support.
I kind of like how they are now, I can place a copper coin in or a silver etc. and get a 'tique item/stat boost/etc. It doesn't matter which one I use, the chance is still the same. If they were changed prices would get way out of whack and no one would buy the cheaper ones because they'd get a "cheaper" prize.
