I wasn't sure to put this here or in the bugs forum, but could it be possible that the subeautique invitation random event is no longer active during Morostide? I haven't had an event in a long time (at least 2 weeks), and usually there's about 1-3 subeautique's a week... Am I really unlucky, or have they stopped for everyone?

the drop rate for this RE was deliberately reduced by TPTB. It has not been stopped, I got one yesterday. For me, it's a change from three a day to one every three days, so it's been one ninth as common as it once was.

Ah, well at least it's not just me having bad luck then. I don't understand why they'd do it (so you're online more, don't you deserve more events?), but I'll live. Thank you too for the info!

I have a guess.

At the time they made the change, the invites had dropped from their semi-official "target price" of 500KsP to an actual price of 250KsP and had been steadily decreasing in value for awhile. To me, the Subeautique Invites were already worth nothing at all because even though I'm around a lot, I'm just not fast enough to buy anything there. I was getting a ton of them (I still have nearly 100 in my Vault) and no reason to do anything with them.

This inability to buy at SBQ was due to an implemented Suggestion that items there be made more rare, which to my mind totally subverts the point of having another currency and changes it back to a restockable shop (only you can't use your discount card).

Anyways, for recent Luminaires all REs will be taken over by Snow Fairies, so save your Invites now just in case they come out with something super-cute late in the year.

The rate was actually increased recently, but I haven't been getting many either

i havent found one for about 3 weeks now even though i'm quite active it's somewhat depressing i havent even had a chance to grab any of the new items

I haven't found any in several weeks. I had close to 40 when the makeup was released and I'm now down to about 5 or so :(

I wouldn't expect anyone to get any at all during Luminaire.

All REs of all kinds (and not just the Subeautique ones) were replaced by lost Snow Fairy finding in previous years. I play a lot and haven't been challenged by Ice King at all this December, and if he's not showing up, I doubt others are this year.

About 20 minutes after I replied to this I got a Subeautique Invite RE.

I was challenged by the Ice King yesterday.

yay! Thank you, I need those challenges, I've got more pets that can fight him it's going to take me a long time to get them all in. Imma also going to try spend a few more Invites now that I know I am not depleting my stash.
