I got a from the pumpkin patch earlier, and I know that there's an achievement for getting one that says "O, Snowflaik! Where art thou?". The thing is, I never received mine. Is the achievement retired, or is this something I should be worried about?

The achievement you're mentioning is a Legacy achievement. Those sadly aren't available anymore.

However there is one for returning Snowflaik to Jaxon. Since Jaxon is currently missing though, so this is temporarily unavailable. Hopefully it will be back once we safely return Jaxon home. :)

It's a legacy achievement, so it's no longer available. The current Snowflaik achievement is returning her to Jaxon.

Nevermind. I just was corrected. I didn't know it was retired.

Sonata and (commenters above) said that it is a legacy achievement, and I heard before that if the achievement is a legacy, you can no longer obtain it (like retired).
