I got two of these messages "Your pet name ____ was taken due to inactivity, you have been given a free name change here for this pet only!"

I searched the pet names, and found the other pets, and one of the users that owned one of them was someone that my news feed said I had mail from, but I had no new mail... so I don't know how he got the name or anything... help?

If you've been inactive for a year pet and user names become open to use for others. As a result they put a system in so IF a user returned to names taken they can look and get a free name change. Mail is supposedly supposed to clear after 6 months so maybe mail that user back?

If you haven't been on the site in a certain period of time (maybe a year?) other users are allowed to take your pet names. But since you came back, for free you can change the name of the pet whose name was taken. Unfortunately, you can't change it back to the original name, though, since someone else now has the name. You'll have to pick a new name.

It sounds like the person who took one of the names tried to contact you, but I don't know why you wouldn't have a mail from them. Maybe mail is deleted after a certain time too?

I figured that was probably it, but I still can't figure out the mail... I still have mail from 2006 that hasn't been deleted... :/
