So I'm returning back to Subeta (from a semi-hiatus) after I don't even know, quit a few years. I recently graduate college, and working at a boring as heck job that isn't using my degree and "finding myself."

I want to write a book and use my pets as inspiration. Right now I have Lorri and I'm tinkering around with some ideas. I'm kinda of in that stage where I have a ton of ideas floating around but can't pick one.

So right now I'm thinking either fantasy (elf/orc) or space + cyborgs??

Do you have any ideas you're working on? Want to throw around some ideas? I'd love to help!

Welcome back! I felt the same way after graduating college, so I really understand how you feel -X-; Lorri is very pretty! Are you thinking about changing her color/species to fit one of the themes you're thinking about? I think her name sounds more like fantasy than science fiction, but of course that doesn't have to limit you!

I'm trying to work on an idea I have for my two pets Chronokinesis and Zeppelin. Chrono is going to be disguised as a human and a physics teacher... Zep is going to be a real human who is Chrono's student. Chrono ends up saving his life, but Zep finds out that he's really a... whatever that experiment is ^X^; But I can't really get started on their story... I just have a hard time getting started, I guess!

Thank you! It feels good to be back. c: Yeah I don't know, I feel like I'm in this floating stage. aha.

Yes, I'd probably change her color, not to sure about her species as I really like Sheeta's. I agree it does sound more fantasy, but maybe I can combine the two somehow. Like a futuristic world of the elves and orcs? I find that most fantasy based are before modern times, so that could be really fun to work with.

Oh that sounds cool. :o I would just start with whatever you have in mind right now. It doesn't necessarily be from the beginning, but just so you can start getting your ideas down and go from there. :)

I like Sheetas too, although I don't have one (yet). I think the futuristic fantasy setting would be fun! Maybe a Galactic, Glade, Reborn, or Steamwork Sheeta would fit in there :)

Steamwork would probably work, or glade depending on what route I decide to go with. :O Ah. So many choices! :3

Welcome back! And yes, I support this idea of setting the typical fantasy story in space instead, either with advanced technology or alien elves etc. (or both. both is always good.) Just imagine the possibilities!

As for me, I've been struggling with a story that would span over quite a few of my pets, but I haven't really managed to set anything in stone yet. I've been playing with the idea of will'o'the'wisp type characters controlling and creating fog. The characters are mainly from an old RP with a friend, spanning over ten years now, and we just decided to scrap most of the story and reinvent their world. :')

I've also got some vague swamp merfolk stuff under construction, but developing the story with an RP partner would probably be easier tbh, since now I've only got a very base concept.

And some basic fantasy characters, but those are mainly just dear player characters from Dragon Age who took off and now they're all over the place with their non-canon backstories and futures.

^ LOLOL I'm working with it now actually. I have a main character in mind, but it isn't Lorri, so I'll probably make a new pet and incorporate Lorri into it. I'm getting some inspiration from WoW for my elvish idea, and my current toon I'm playing is actually what I've decided to base my character around. It'll help keep me more motivated this way! :D

Ok wow yeah please do this story so I can read it and fan over it. I love swamp themed stories. Like, so much could happen. Swamps can been seen as this magical place, or as this treacherous trap. eheh.

I wish I liked rping. I mean, I've done it before, but I've never really gone anywhere with it.

p.s. Whats the name of your wig? I neeeeds it. o_o

Do share progress thoughts if you feel like it, developing pet stories is always easier when there's other people to brainstorm with, or at least that's how I've always felt. (my sMail is always open, if you don't want to share in public, but would like to discuss nonetheless)

I've got to admit that my knowledge of WoW elves is severely limited to 'very very very long ears', so I have to say I'm not very helpful in that aspect. (I've mainly focused on Tolkien, Dragon Age and TeS elves). But I agree, drawing inspiration from game characters is sometimes a lot more easier than completely creating everything by yourself, considering that you don't have to start from scratch and create the entire universe, or you can embed your pre-existing character into a new setting, which might be inspiring both character development-wise and worldbuilding-wise. :D

But gosh, now I'm all hyped up for futuristic elves.

I'm currently working on a pet who is actually a game PC tribute despite the fact that his story has diversed from canon so much that I can hardly call him the game character anymore... I've been intending to finish his story before completing any of the others, now that I've been actually inspired to create him a proper profile and everything. But after him I'll definitely work on the swamp tale, if I actually manage to figure out how on earth I'll flesh out the characters beyond their basic skeletons. o/

Oh, and the wig is from the new Limited edition Delish set (in cash shop, it's a redeemable wig so you can color it how you want)
