I'm working on my plushie collection, and to keep track of what I still need, I make an attempt at adding all the plushies I need to my wishlist. I'm pretty bad at it, and I know there are plushies that I need that I haven't gotten into my wishlist yet. I think it would be awesome if there were some way to automatically add certain collection items that you don't have yet to your wishlist (maybe for CSC or Tokens or something, or as a GA feature, or make it so you can only do it once a month?). It would also be awesome to add achievement-related items in this way too (maybe an "Add Needed Items to Wishlist" button next to the achievement, that costs maybe 10 CSC per achievement).
Alternatively, for the collections page, could there be a link to a page that shows you (or other users) what you don't have yet, where you can hit the "wishlist" button on each one? This would be especially useful for buying other people gifts for their collections because the plushie collection is now paginated, so you can't just ctrl+F to see if the plushie shows up without going through every page.
I'm not sure how practical these ideas are in terms of coding/server strain, but if they're doable, I'd love to see them implemented!
While this would be great, subetalodge has a great system in place for these things (plus, its free).
And thus, i feel it would be somewhat of a waste of resources to do it right now.
Thanks! I didn't know that feature existed! I still think an in-site, more streamlined system would be awesome, but Subetalodge is definitely helpful!
Subetalodge only works for when you're actively buying the items. If you're trying to use SL for adding everything to your wishlist, it's going to take a long time, you'll end up with doubles, you'll get a lot of down pages, and you'll have to hand-sort all the items into the appropriate categories. Not to mention having to add every new item that comes out... trust me, I've done this with all the collections. It's horrible.
See above ^^ But SL is indeed really good for seeing what you don't have/do have. Just wishlisting it is a hassle, but good in the long run when adding items to collections (you avoid the "You already have this item" error)
I have no idea how something like this work though. I feel like it would cause a lot of strain on the system, considering it would have to do an account search for thousands of items, and then add the needed ones to the wishlist. And then you have thousands of items on your WL, and trying to load a WL that big ... just... no. As much as I would enjoy the convenience, I just don't think it would work.
