Sorry if this is a silly question! On my Pets page, it says "You are using 11 of your 6 pet slots." Is this a mistake or is that normal? I would think it'd say "You are using 11 of your 11 pet slots" instead. It's been like this as long as I can remember, but I'm not sure why. I've gotten a few of the slots from loyalty boxes (I'm pretty sure I got 3 from that - So I don't know how I got the rest of the extra slots) and I've never bought more slots with cash shop credits. So, what I'm wondering is, since I'm not sure if it's a bug or what, if I leave one of my pets at the adoption center or give one away to somebody, will I lose that slot? I haven't been brave enough to test it myself, haha.

It's normal.

You get 5 to start out with. Then when you activate a Gold Account you can make 5 more pets.

And yes if you do get rid of the pet I don't think you can make a new pet until you activate a gold account again.

You need a GA tho use more than 5 pet slots, if you activate one it will say 11 of 11. You keep any slots you have if you abandon pets, but you would need a GA to access them again.

Oh! I can't believe I forgot GAs give you extra pet slots.
