Ok so I just spent like 10 minutes trying to figure out how to change my forum signature.

I looked under "User Options" and couldn't find it.

It really shouldn't be this much of a struggle to find out to change my forum stuff.

It would also be great if the link be put under "User options" and perhaps even show up on the dropdown when you hover over the links in the bar (ie. Interact > Forums > Forum Options).

EDIT: For anyone still struggling to find Forum Options it is located on the Forums page, it's one of the tiny links.

Ok, well, I'm not saying that we should MOVE Forum Options from the Forums page, just that we need an additional link from the User Dashboard.

Also please improve the User Dashboard.. similar to Speiro's suggestions..

Yeah, I ran into this earlier. The link is on the main forum page now, which is convenient, but it shouldn't have been removed from the preferences page. It's really confusing, especially since there's already "options" and "basic options" on the main preferences pages, so now we have a third "options" that directs you to "forum options".

(And then "dashboard" means two different things, but that's another topic.)

Like I just don't know where I'm going anymore.

I really liked how all of your account's setup was on one place, I'd love to have it back. Especially if the labels could be reviewed and maybe tweaked to be more appropriate! "Basic options" could be "profile options" and the "options" currently on the forum menu could be "forum options" back on the user dashboard.

...if only because I'm tired of telling people to check the menu above forum pulse. xD I often forget about it myself, it's counterintuitive to have preferences scattered apart on the site.

Yeah totally agree. I didn't even realise that there were extra links along the top of the Forums page (TIL how to get to the Forum Shop) until I thought:

"If the Forum Options aren't under the User Dashboard anymore, then they have to be somewhere else.."

But where was the problem. It took me way too long to figure out. :|

Definitely! Especially since when you click on "Forum Options" from the forum page the top bar that's visible from the User Dashboard is there.. making it soo confusing.

Eh, I think that would still be confusing. My ideal setup would be more like:

• Combine "Basic Options", "Password", and "PIN" into one page and label that tab something like "Account Info"

• Remove the "Disable Account" tab and add it as a link on this new page so it's not out in the open like that (because it's scary)

• Rename "Options" (on the dashboard page) to "Site Preferences"

• And then add the "Forum Options" tab back to the dashboard page, and rename the tab on the forum to match so it's linked from both places

That works c: I never really understood why "disable account" had a tab of its own, it'd be good enough to have it be a link on some other tab that took you to a page where you'd confirm your choice.

It's not any harmful to have them linked in both places, so I'm good with that. As long as I can still find all the stuff in one place D:

I agree - if the forum options are staying linked from the forum page, then we at least need a link to that from the dashboard, seeing as that's the logical place to look for it!

I like these ideas. Even though I know where the forum options now are, I still automatically go to the dashboard. I also HATE having the disable account tab (and the delete shop tab) randomly in between far safer and more innocuous tabs. Just hide them somewhere else, please. D: It's not like they get used often.

I don't like this idea. It's in an unfamiliar place yes, but it does belong there. We'll get used to it.

Why can't we have a link to these options on both places? It's so confusing that our options are split over several places.

i have been hunting for half the night trying to find the stupid forum options. Wish we would have at least had an announcement in the news. I had a migraine so half of me thought I was going bonkers. -_-

I don't mind that they've moved it, but please next time TELL US, I spent 30 minutes looking for the forum options today =_=

I would LOVE this.

It was so easy and made so much sense to have all our options in one place. Now that everything's scattered, it just makes it that much more difficult to use Subeta :/

They just need to add another link to the forum options from the user dashboard - that way we can still find it in the logical place (with the dashboard links), and also in the not-quite-so-logical place (on the forum main page) ;)

Yes please. I went to change my sig just moments ago and I was confused when I couldn't find it in my User Preferences page...I had to go to the forum index, then "Options". -_-

It would be great if the Preferences page got another update. I never understood how that page could be so horribly worded! "Basic options" and "options really"?

You could even condense like half the tabs also. Put the "Password" and "Pin" tabs could get moved into a new "Account Info" tab that included the "Basic Options" stuff, though I would likely move profile text out of there. "Custom CSS" could go under "Site Layout" most likely. Anyway I hope his gets spruced up at some point, it really is not very intuitive at the moment.

Yeah, there was no reason to remove the link from the dashboard or options or preferences or whatever we're supposed to call it now. Adding a link somewhere else is fine, but why remove the one that everyone was familiar with?

It's especially confusing because when you click the link in the forums to change your forum options, it leads you a page with the dashboard menu at the top, where it used to be linked from!! But the menu at the top of that page (customcss, site layout, etc.) has no link for forum options.

Nothing makes any sense and google is always my friend.

I hope this gets changed because with Morostide more people are going to want to change their signatures..
