Switching IDs

I would like to suggest a feature where we can switch ids on our pets, much like the name feature recently added. I know I would find this extremely useful (particularly on moving my main battlers onto lower ids), and wondered if other id collectors felt the same?! I guess 750csc sounds a fair price?

Making battle pets (or, in some cases, aquiring battle pets) is something that typically comes long before the aspect of either wanting your battle pet on your lowest ID (making it your literal first) because of reasons or because of wanting it on your lowest ID because of numerical reasonings. I know I'd use this, uh, a lot because my lowest are also battle pets so I'd have to do quite a bit of ID switching as to not waste those two tier 11s.
Also just in case anyone is wanting more elaboration (or how is this any different than switching stats), this is what I posted on another board in regards to this:
<p>Currently wins are tied to an account not the pet so if you ditch/adopt out a pet the new owner starts fresh. That always seemed silly to me (and caused issues hence the 10% stat loss if a pet is over 2k stats), but if wins/losses were first tied to an ID then they were programmed to be left with the stats that could work maybe?</p>
<p>Like if I had these two pets:</p>
<p>ID: 5 (common, 10 evens)
ID: 654321 (gold, capped, 6k foods)</p>
<p>If we switched IDs then 5 would become gold/capped/6k foods and 654321 would be common/10 stats? But that&;d only work if wins/losses were tied to an ID and were programmed to switch along with everything else.
Personally I don't care much about IDs, but this would be great for those who hunt low or special ids. Although I'm not 100% sure it'd be something easy to do? IDs seem to be something used for coding and database purposes, so maybe it's harder that just switching names. I may be totally wrong though :'D

I dunno, I definitely see the appeal for people who are into both battling and IDs, but I've always liked that IDs are the one thing that is consistent about a given pet. It's the only way you know for sure it's the same pet. Plus I feel like the way the site is structured it seems likely that it can't be changed? I could be way off there but again, as the consistent identifying feature for each pet I imagine it's pretty heavily involved in coding.
Also what would this mean for pet birthdays?
I don't even understand what is the big deal.
I like the idea. I like keeping my pets in id order on my profile but I have a tendency to like swapping them about. This way instead of having to name/gender/colour change and more all their tc I could just switch ids ^_^ Big thumbs up!
