Ok so I noticed that in order to have ur pet learn a spell, it has to have Alchemy Tokens. Only a few of my pets have one token, the rest none. Can someone plz tell me how many books your pet has to read to gain each alchemy point thing?

Every 16th intelligence point, your pet gets an Alchemy Point. The 16th has to be a book, but the 15 in between you can get from boosters, Mystic Spindles, etc.

the word Alchemy gets overused here on Subeta, as does Token so a little unpacking is necessary here. There really is an item called Alchemy Token for instance [item=Alchemy Token: Bean Bag]. You don't need these to cast spells, they're for the Alchove, which is Underground and only for the Unliving. If your pets have these in their TC it won't help them with spells.

I think you mean Alchemy Points, these aren't a currency and are as has described.

There's also an Alchemy level for making scrolls at the Secluded Shrine. This is never explained there that I can tell, but it's one fifth of your AP.

You don't actually have to read books. If you give your pet intelligence boosters they'll gain x amount of points. Once you read a book, you'll get points based on every 16th intelligence you have.

Example: You boost 20 intelligence. You read 1 book and have 21 intelligence but you will also gain an alchemy point. Once the intelligence reaches 32 you'll get another :)

You can check SubetaLodge for info on intelligence boosters if you aren't sure how many points you get from each. A bit expensive in my opinion though. Just restock books :D Very easy ^^

books will be by far cheaper than int boosters until you read a large amount of books. if you are really interested I will look up a list of int boosters for you though.

, that would be great! I just want see what they're like first( by that I mean like how much int it gives your pet ) and just how expensive they really are, since I just really want to save time since my schedule is super tight and only get a tiny but of time to get on. ^^

Notice that some items, such as aren't boosts, but contains "intelligence" in their notes. But there are only a few items on that list I sent to you that aren't boosters

that should be all of them? I don't know if the tome really gives int, but lodge said so, so I put it. a few might say 0 int, didn't have time to check all of them. I could just link you to a complete book list.
