I havent been here long so Im wondering if there is a more efficient way/faster way of pricing all my items that I am putting in my shop?
Its great that there are chances to get loads of things, but I dread the pricing part -it seems to take for ever and its putting me off playing a bit :(
any ideas please
The most efficient, fastest way I've found is, honestly, to get a GA (Gold Account, in case someone reading isn't familiar with acronyms) and use the autopricing function. To autoprice, you click a few buttons and it prices everything for you by matching to the lowest shop price for each item.
Autopricer is the main reason I have a GA. Hand pricing a really big store is such a pain. xD
If you shell out for a gold account, then you can Autoprice your shop - it'll automatically price your items to the same value as the lowest priced instance of each item in the shop search.
Aside from that, the only pricing option available is the hand-pricing slog you're doing now.
(ah, too slow...)
Thanks for the replies
so if you get a GA you dont have to do anything except put things in your shop? or do you still need to tap numbers in?
I did look into getting a GA only thing that puts me off is that from what I can see to get the discount you have to put in your card details to be reused automatically and Im a bit nervous of that, plus Im new so not sure if I should do it just yet
yes its so boring pricing it all I am at the point of thinking its easier to just give it all away and keep any sp only
I've never autopriced my shop, so I've grown quite accustomed to hand pricing. I quite like having closer control over my shop prices, and it lets me know the items around the site a bit better. Some days I really can't be bothered to do it, but others, it's quite nice to put on some music or a radio play and just work through it.
Also, you don't have to purchase a gold account directly - people sell the medals in their shops, so you can buy them with sp.
It's not completely automatic. Basically if you have a GA, when you go to your shop tab there's an extra link called "Autopricer". You click that, it takes you to a page where it asks if you want to autoprice. You click yes. There's a second page where it gives you the opportunity to edit the prices if you want to. Click again. Third page, which I'm pretty sure is the loading bar where it prices all your stuff, and then your store is priced. Takes about two minutes on average for me.
I'm not sure exactly which payment option is asking for that info, I only use PayPal for buying GA's. Paypal knows my credit card, but Subeta doesn't. I am also nervous of sites that ask to remember my card.
People do sell credit for sP in their shops ( like the ) which can be redeemed and used to buy GA's, too. :)
Edit: Or, yeah, what Dice said, you can just buy the medals from people too. n__n
all interesting stuff thanks
I had no idea you could buy a GA with sp, thats really interesting. I suppose I could get a GA every now and then and just price it all up in a mass then when it runs out leave it a while and do it again?
Feel a bit guilty buying a GA atm as its early days and I still pay for another site similar to this that I am barely using these days :(
Sure, you can just keep stuff in your shop and then just price when you get a GA ^^ That's what I've been doing and it seems to work okay. I really want to just go for it and get the year subscription. But like you, I also am paying for my np premium and barely use it. xD

buying csc looks like a doable option every now and then just to price my shop up the minimum seems to be a week for 150 which seems reasonable especially if I can do it by paypal.
my subs for neo run out in feb and Im sorry to say I will probably stop it then - been there 12 years to its such a shame
Same! But that's a really good idea- instead of getting the full year, I'll just get a 1-week account every few weeks. xD My neo premium runs out in March, and if I can pick a pet to get rid of, I won't be renewing either. :/ Been there since 2001 and it's just gone so far downhill... I'll never be able to leave, but I don't want to spend money on it anymore. Plus I'm still trying to train/trade my 2800 HSD for an UC RB Shoyru. x)

agreed I couldnt actually close my account I have spent years on it and my pets alone are a big deal to me but I will certainly be moving a pet to a side account and then stop my premium, hopefully to start a GA here
Subeta is more about the shopkeeping than other petsites. Games used to have small sP rewards, and quests were rather modest, so shopkeeping and vending used to be "the thing" to make sP here.
I'm a massive hoarder so I could never bring myself to chuck stuff. I hand-price in two stages. After I do quests/games whatevs drops items into my lap, I open one window to Inventory and another to my Shop and quickstock in from there. Then I look at my Inventory window and see if anything there has a red "rare" rarity underneath. Those items I price right away.
Then, every few days I price five pages while watching TV or listening to YouTube, this reprices the rares and finally gets the common items ready to sell. You could ignore this step and do just the first half and donate the rest I suppose? Depends on how much of a chore picking out the rares seem to you. Some quests are just not worth doing IMO if you don't at least sell the rares from them.
I had a GA recently, and between quests/restocking during the pirate event, I made plenty sP to hold me over until I get another GA medal. :)
Your HA is really cool btw! 8D

I should at to the OP whether or not you find the other GA features to be fun should be your reason to do that. If you're just doing it for pricing unless you are sure you're getting your "moneysworth" it may seem like a chore to get one.
Right. I also love getting more pet space and more quests. :3 And the 1-week medal is worth about 6 mil... I made like 40-something mil selling stuff that week, so. xD Totally worth it.

OMG someone sent me a really lovely gift of a week of GA !!! My eyes nearly popped out of my head
I just want to say a huge thankyou here I got so excited it was pretty silly to see ha ha
so whoever you are mr/ms anonymous I really appreciate it and Im off now to stuff my shop with all kinds of things so I can find out what it feels like to have a GA and I intend to make the best of it yee haa
skips off like a very silly thing ... mm at my age too lol :D
Thats a lovely thing someone did for you. Can I ask because Ive forgotten, [Im an oldie too] if you dont have a gold account can you still see the general prices of items underneath your prices in your shop? I ask because if you can see them, a quick way to price your stock which I use when I dont want to autoprice until later, is to use the Tab key on your keyboard, click in your price box, type the price in that you want to use, usually the same amount as it shows underneath, then click the Tab button 4 times, this will take you to the next box you're going to type into. just be careful about missing 0's off as you can get quite quick at this and miss-price something! I hope that all makes sense, ask if it doesn't :0)
No, that's part of the Autopricer. Non-GAs don't have it (otherwise no one would need the Autopricer? Or way less people would buy a GA for it anyway)
Thanks for letting me know, I had forgotten, I can see how it must be a proper pain having to do it the hard way!
