Please keep my dog, Ozzy, in your thoughts please. The vet put him on pain medicine and anti-inflammatory for his arthritis and i gave him 72 hours to respond to it. If he doesn't respond, she's ending his pain, and his life. We're down to under 36 hours... I'm not ready to lose him. He's been my best friend and my family member for almost 11 years. My son has also known him his entire life. He is the only person Ozzy will attempt to run to and give kisses to. I don't know how to explain death to a toddler, especially the death of pretty much his best friend, too...
Please please please keep your fingers crossed that the medicine helps him and he's around for another two years...
You have my condolences, the death of a pet is an unfortunate inevitability. If the worst does happen - How toddlers relate to death, site discussing ideas for helping children of all ages work through a pet's death.
Is the dog going to have a high quality of life if the treatment takes?

I don't know. He's in a lot of pain and I'm being selfish by not wanting to lose him. He's ten years old and can barely get around.
Sorry to hear this!!! If the unwanted happens, try to keep your child close and entertained, help not think about it.
You could always say he's gone to heaven with other happy dogs to play. Kids are sentimental but easy to console at the same time!

What's the word? :c

Thinking of you, . I've been there. :(

I hope Ozzy responded well to the medication. :(
I apologize for the lack of updates. I lost internet access.
Medicine failed him. He suffered until my mom FINALLY made the decision to set him free from his pain and suffering.
He was put to sleep Wednesday, 1/14/15. He didn't put up a fight and passed away peacefully.
I will miss my boy.
I'm so sorry, . HUGS
