FRESNO, CA (KTRK) -- Deputies have arrested four young men - one adult and three juveniles - suspected of breaking into a Foster Farms chicken ranch and killing more than 900 birds with a golf club in California.
Fresno County sheriff's officials acting on several tips Wednesday tracked down 18-year-old Gabriel Quintero of Riverdale. Also taken into custody were two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old.
You can expect these sick fucks to probably become future serial killers! This just makes me ill! That 18 year old probably influenced them to do this! This calls for a
Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

Holy shit?!
Why?
Were they bored or something O.o
why just why why would you do something like that
why the fuck would you even do that i have pet chickens so that just makes it even more what-the-hell-worthy to me
Normally I'd say that is too light a punishment, but considering their young age and the sheer number of animals they killed, perhaps it would be apt... This is just so... senseless though. I could perhaps understand if they had worked there or had family working there and did it as an act of vicious rebellion, but as far as I can see they did it for fun. :/
What the actual fuck. Those poor chickens. I'd like to beat those kids with a golf club
A day in juvie/chicken PLUS one golf club beat for every chicken. Then maybe MAYBE we're getting a little closer to justice. Jesus fucking CHRIST what is WRONG with people ? Who just thinks of this ? Oh my god.
collecting That is literally fucking sickening. I don't quite know if I believe in Heaven or Hell, but if Hell exists, I hope that's where those scumbags are headed. What awful cruelty. Those poor innocent little birds.
Wow... What the hell was going through their minds that they thought beating chickens with a golf club was an okay thing to do? If you need to beat something up, please just punch a mattress or get a pinata to take your frustrations out on or something. Poor chickens...
What the fuck! I can't imagine how someone could do that too an animal unless their life was threatened and they certainly weren't threatened by fucking chickens! Unfortunately kids get off too lightly. :( They're almost certainly not going to learn from this. If they're willing to kill so many chickens they're going to end up killing people as well down the road. Sick, sick people.
Ugh. Guess it was too much to hope this was going to be about some stupid prank gone wrong that resulted in chicken deaths. That would have been horrific enough, but this? This is just so fucking sick. Those poor birds! T_T
Yep. Serial killers in the making here. >_< And they'll probably get off far too lightly for this.
My family has chickens, and they are the sweetest little featherballs ever.
And they killed them with golf clubs. I hope they get some serious charges. Serial killer shit right there.
Well of course it's fucking fresno
that's like the florida of california
If it makes anyone feel better... with that amount of force, they died instantly. They're not the sturdiest animals. :(
If not, then this will definitely cheer you up - since chickens are insured farm property, they're definitely getting at least an indescribably agonizing fine, and since the 18 year old can't possibly pay it, he'll be paying it in prison time.
I don't condone killing anything or anyone, but I'm wondering if this was a mercy killing on the part of these teens.
Here's what I mean: Foster Farms is known (as are most chicken ranches unless they are free range) for raising the chickens in the MOST inhumane of conditions. They are literally locked (by their feet) into cages where they can barely move and the cages are stacked high, and there are rows and rows of them, that are kept inside large, poorly ventilated buildings, and the birds are SO close together that they are being very very cruelly treated, and then they die anyway when they're killed for food.
I know that these kids were probably on a "mean" joyride, but what if they weren't? What if they were protesting the Foster Farms mistreatment of animals by killing those chickens very swiftly and putting them out of their misery? No animal should be locked up like that and farmed in such awful conditions.
It appalls me that it's not against the law to farm animals this way. There are many cruelties happening to the food that we eat (unless you're vegan) Personally I rarely eat chicken because of this, and Foster Farms chicken tastes "dirty" to me and I think it's because of the conditions on these farms.
I DO think it's horrible if the animals suffered and some probably didn't die immediately, especially if the kids were on a rampage, and if they weren't making SURE they were dead. But who knows? I don't want to judge their behavior w/out knowing what (if any) their motivations were.
EDIT: OK I'm tired and I didn't' think. If they were able to get access to the chickens then they must NOT have been locked in cages, perhaps Foster Farms has improved their farming methods. I don't know!
