My pet was a koi fish type thing and I zapped it with the zapper and it turned into a monster! Can I just keep zapping it and hope it changes into something less creepy?

You can zap pets as much as you want :)

I was afraid I was stuck with that monstrosity, thank heavens. :) Hopefully it changes to something else soon. Related: is there a way to change my pet's gender besides zapping it?

I believe a Sex Berry does the trick :)

But if you're going to continue zapping I'd suggest waiting until you get a pet you like before using it :)

Thank you both. I'm gonna zap it for a while just to see what sorts of things the zapper can do but when I get bored with zapping I'm going to turn Zeuser into a male blacklight charlie. I already have the Charlie potion, I'm gonna buy the Sex Berry now and tuck it away and eventually I'll save up for the blacklight elixir or potion or whatever I can't seem to remember which one :P

Just for the record - be sure to "use" the Sex Berry, not "feed". Using it changes gender; feeding it just adds to your pet's "food eaten" count. I've made that mistake before... x_x;

I'm not sure if someone else mentioned this or if you already knew it (sorry if so!) but make sure to vault / gallery / lock your items in your inventory before zapping. The zapper can bypass your pet and zap a random (non locked) item in your inventory and turn it into dust D: Many users have accidentally lost things this way, so be careful!

It's also good to keep a cheap minion on your lab pet; if it gets turned into a slime (those can be used as stat boosters for battling) take it off and sell / hoard c:

Someone briefly mentioned that it could effect my items in my inventory but I didn't pay much attention and forgot about it until you mentioned it again. I'll take more care next time because I generally play with a pretty full inventory, I'd hate to lose something neat! It's difficult to play without a full inventory, tbh, because I keep earning items faster than I can put them away.

I know the feeling D: Try to lock the valuable things (if/when you invest on the lizard minion trap/spray***, they must be kept locked at all times!) or put them away before, though :x

Later on, you can also do something I often do myself: I like to keep an empty gallery for storage, so when I'm in a rush to get my inventory clean, I just quickstock everything there to sort afterwards, because my vault is a black hole at this point xD However, extra galleries/shops cost sP and that's not an expense you need right now!

***There are random events where lizard minions pass by you. One of them does nothing, just says the minion scurries past you and is busy, but the other actually drops you a random rare item if you have the spray/trap (locked) in your inventory xD The spray has a 20-30%? chance of catching it and the trap has some 60?%, they can be used separately but are more effective as a set c: They're expensive, so that's also not something you have to do right now, but it's worth considering for the future!

The lizard minion trap spray thing sounds like something worthwhile to invest in! I'm going to add them both to my wishlist so I can keep it in mind for the future. I found the Lizard Minion Trap but couldn't find Lizard Minion Spray- am I getting the name correct?

I also really like the tip you told me about keeping an empty gallery for storage. I'm going to try to use my vault for now and do my best to keep it under control, but it seems like it's something that can get really messy very quickly! o.o

Ahh yes! To confirm, the items are and , they both sell permanently on the Millionaire Center (so you should only buy from other people if you get a bit of a discount! or else you're better spending on the MC for achievements) ^_^

Unfortunately we haven't gotten very efficient ways of sorting our vaults very well just yet (but it's on the programmers list!), until then... my vault will be really messy haha. So I have this gallery for some quick "take it off now" needs, until I sort out what I'm really vaulting and what should be sold c:
