This is how the billboards page currently looks. I don't know what changes are in the works, but I hope some are pushed soon. I would particularly appreciate it if I could see the names of my billboards. :P As it is, it's hard to remember which is which!

Some changes I hope will be made:

• Names of billboards listed
• Each billboard's image
• Delete option. With expired billboards, there shouldn't be a problem removing them. With billboards that are running or paused and still have impressions, those impressions could be put into a pool which the user could manually add to their other billboards.
• Have billboards approved without them running right away. (Thanks !)

I also wonder if it would be possible for forum groups to be given an option to have a billboard for their group. Only the admins (or just the owner) of the group could upload an image and control when the billboard runs, is paused, deleted, etc., but all the forum group's members could be able to add impressions. All options could be toggleable by the group's owner. I think this could be a great way for forum groups to easily advertise their group since they are taking over the function of the cults. (If I'm wrong about this, please correct me.) It's easier than members of the forum group buying CSC cards and sending them over to the owner (who may or may not actually put it towards a billboard). Forum group billboards could be managed from the forum group's settings.

What do people think about this? Any other suggestions?

[edit] Also, like some of the subforums, the billboards in the list seem to trade places at random. I hope this can be fixed soon!

I'm wondering about an ability made to update image of billboards? I've been running billboards for my blog on this site for a long LONG time and like to update the look every now and again.

However, to do that I'd also have to wait for the "new" billboard to be approved (maybe a way for just the image to have to be approved first?).

I agree with about a delete function. Right now I have two billboards for my blog and I'd like the ability to remove the older one since I never use it anymore :)

Okay, I didn't realize, thanks. :) I still would like the names of the billboards to appear, especially because, sorry, I prefer to keep AdBlock on. There's a lot of ads I would rather not see or that are just annoying at the corner of my eye.

One of my ads does not show up, regardless of AdBlock. n_n

I had a topic ages ago where I listed several suggestions for billboards, forums.php/read/916969, but looks like it was lost on the transition.

I don't remember everything I suggested anymore, but I would -really- like to have the ability to pre-approve billboards without them starting running right after approval. Sometimes I want things for specific events / birthdays, it's awful to have it all spoiled because I must submit with enough antecedence so I can have it on the day :/

I remember people also asking the ability to switch credits between billboards, because some of them link to pages that don't exist anymore and all that. The ability to delete and then switch credits should work fine, too, I suppose.

I really like your suggestion to have billboards approved but not run right away. This could be really useful for some people. :) I've added it to my first post.

Yay, thank you! ^_^ The billboard system feels so rudimentary in comparison to several other features of the site, I really hope it can get at least a small makeover sometime soon.
